RayProudfoot
I'm running FSX SP2 and EFB with the display on a networked PC. The Data Provider runs on the FSX PC of course. I'm beta testing an aircraft and need to capture fuel flow and fuel remaining for each of the waypoints in my flight plan. There are some issues with this aircraft and FSX is crashing on panel view changes. Whilst I can reload the last saved FSUIPC flight the problem is I lose all the FlightLog info even though the Data Provider hasn't been shut down. It fails to recognise the aircraft's position when loading a saved flight. Is there any way I can retain / recover all the EFB data and continue where I was immediately prior to the crash? RayProudfoot
Does no-one have any comments to make about my question? Where is the FlightLog data held? DP or Viewer? Why can't it be retained in the event of a FSX crash and reloading of a saved FSUIPC flight?
aivlasoft
Hi Ray, Why can't it be retained in the event of a FSX crash and reloading of a saved FSUIPC flight? The answer is that such a feature was not planned and therefore the architecture is not designed as it would be required. Version 2 will allow to stop and start at almost every time and the situation (flight log etc) will be recovered.
RayProudfoot
Thanks Urs. Look forward to this in v2 although it will come too late for my current situation.
