Here's my theory, for what it's worth In the MetarXMl folder for today I had the following files: 20120630_00Z 20120630_02Z _04Z _10Z _14Z _16Z _ 18Z _20Z EFB was looking into the latest file (_20Z) for the latest weather, which is 1020Z in that file. No matter how often you hit 'refresh' in EFB, nothing will change as that is the latest metar in that file. What REXe does; I think it updates a previous file, in this case it was the _10Z file which held more current metar date than _20Z. Internally REXe know this and hence the weather is up to date, but you will see time differences in EFB as EFB thinks that _20Z is the latest file and so would I How did I find this out. I deleted all the files in the MetarXML folder, then restarted REXe. When I looked in the MetarXML folder the new file was the _10Z file. Weather was up to date in REXe and when I restarted EFB and checked the weather, it was also correct. Well, that's my thoughts on this. I think once REXe has downloaded 8 files for that Date it starts over writing them. REXe knows that hence the weather is always current. I think users will see this but only after 8 hours of use of a third party program that accesses REXe for weather. Otherwise if you use just FSX and REXe you will never notice anything is wrong. So 8 files with 3 hrs of updated data per file per day. I'm probably talking a load of rubbish as I'm no programmer. Any thoughts on this? Clive

Urs Yes I have already pressed the 'refresh button' but no change in EFB I am pointing DP to the MetarXML folder. The metar code will be different as REXe has updated but EFB has not. even after I had pressed the 'refresh button'

REXe now updated to 1320Z EFB still shows 1020Z

EFB time of metar is 1020Z REXe time of MEtar is 1220Z

Just a thought. I've been running PlanG which I have connecting to FSX via FSUIPC instead of Simconnect. There is an option within PlanG to select either. One thing I noticed was that there was no 'dropout' of AI traffic Perhaps this could be setup in EFB also, so we have could choice of either simconnect or FSUIPC. anyway thought I would just ask the question Regards Clive

Hi all Firstly thanks for the latest update. I have this disappearing traffic issue back. I have lately been flying the Careando C208B around the UK and have noticed That after a while the AI disappears from EFB, but still shows in FSX. If I restart the DP all is well again. Any advise regards Clive

...update. It is that folder. I was trying to get weather for a small airfield in the UK. tried EGBB, EGKK both pull in the correct weather Many thanks Clive

I've just completed another flight for my VA and can report no traffic loss at all. I think the FSUIPC beta could also be the 'fix'

DisableVSD=1 in Fs2Crewdata.ini file, looks like this is the fix. Everything is Ok this end. On same flight EGBB>LEMD. I'm running FSUIPC 4.812D and V1.1 FS2C and SP1C NGX So I think your're correct Travis, this is resolved Many thanks everyone Happy flying Clive

I am also on a 'non' FS2C flight in NGX and so far so good no AI loss. I'm at cruize over the south of france on my way again to Madrid(LEMD) I have changed one other thing; I have removed ALL of 'World of AI' and have installed MY TRaffic X Pro 5.4. (don't tell the wife ) I have 340nm to TOD clive

Finally landed at LEMD (Madrid, Spain); the airport was empty on EFB ground chart. Once again restart of DP fixed it and we had moving traffic. good flight CLive

On DP restart ALL AI is there, very strange AI also in DP AI monitor

STOP, have now lost AI traffic, except for 2,which are near me; speedbird 458 going to the same place as me (LEMD) and a Scandinavian 6788 going to DAOO. DP only shows these to flights also I will restart DP and see what happens

Reached cruize FL360 still all OK. Cabin crew just started service and movie is playing. I'm sure FS2C (US crew), plays more cabin announcements, So, is it FSUIPC latest version at Fault Clive

EFB switched to 'enroute' at FL260 climbing FL360, still everything OK

Running FSUIPC 4.801, climbing out of EGBB everything running OK so far.
