    Hello

Every time when I switch between MSFS or P3D v.45 the software switches db. I understand that but everytime it wants to rebuild the db of said sim. And at best it takes 2 or 3 attempts for the MSFS db.

What can I do to improve this Or is there a proceudre or setting.

    Any advise will be appreciated

    Regards

    Hi Robert,

Automatic switching the DB is normal but asking for a Db rebuild is not - at least I have never seen that here - and I use three different Sims. Just make sure that you follow the correct procedure for updating the DB after a new AIRAC-Cycle.

When a new AIRAC cycle is downloaded (speaking of EFB), you need to update ALL existing databases by using the "Update Navdata" tab. Using this tab updates the databases for ALL simulators at once.

Additionally, if you use the Navigraph-Navdata for MSFS, you need to rebuild the MSFS Database, as this Navigraph-Database is present in the \Community folder. Every change in the \Community folder needs a rebuild of the database.

Other than that I do not see any conflicting potential. AFAIK it will only ask for a rebuild if the choosen database for a certain Sim is not updated to the current AIRAC cycle.

    AivlaSoft.Efb.SupportFile.exe 112.67 kB · 0 downloads AivlaSoft.Efb.SupportFile.exe 112.67 kB · 0 downloads

So yesterday Iwas able to use EFB to track my MSFS flight from LAX to DEN.  Today I am trying to do a flight from EVW to GXY but the EFB shows me at DEN and does not track my flight or move my airplane to the correct locating.  Attached are the support files from that problem.

    Scott,

What did you try to post with these two files? Those are the .EXE files that are provided to create the support files! Please read carefully here how to create a set of support files.

Btw the fact that EFB2 is tracking at one occasion and not tracking at another clearly points to a handling problem. Please check that FSUIPC7 is properly loaded when using EFB2 with MSFS.

  3. Hi Markus,

This sounds somewhat strange, as I can corfirm in my installation that it works flawlessly. Can you confirm that you unzipped the downloaded file and copied it into the client's profile path (by default:  "C:\Users<Username>\Documents\AivlaSoft\EFB2\Client\Profiles") and restarted the Client before first use thereafter?

As an additional check you could open the CJ4 profile.xml with a normal text editor and check for the following line being present in the upper part of the profile:

         <File Name="c25c" />

If everything is ok and the profile is still not loading, please make a Support File from the Server and post it here.

Good afternoon! Your idea that the files might be wrong I really liked. I took a closer look at the EFB V 2 base installer log and found that the files are in a different, but very similar, directory. I remembered that I once reinstalled MSFS2020 and installed it in a different directory. And in EFB v 2 I did not register it. This is where the confusion came in. Fixed everything. Everything worked. Thanks for the help!

Great to hear that it works now. Thanks for info !

  5. Apart from the mentioned errors and warnings I do not see any add-on installation for the UMMS Minsk-2 Airport. Which Add-On did you buy from simMarket and where did you install it? Did you properly install it into the community folder?

For the specific errors and warnings we have to wait until Urs properly analyzed the Support files. At first glance I see some files that seem to be missing in the MSFS installation. Do you run both Server and Client with full admin rights?

  6. Inorder to provide full support on your MSFS/EFB problems, we need a full set of Support Files. Please send them to support@aivlasoft.com. As far as I can see from the screenshot provided, the problems seem to be caused by missing files in your MSFS Installation and also cyrillic charactes showing up. A definitieve answer however is only possible after analyzing the  Support Files.

Reinstalling EFB with the proper license key is no problem, You can reinstall unlimited times.

Good afternoon! Thanks for the answer!
However, this is the version of the UMMS script that I use. Bought from SimMarket. MSFS2020 sees two lanes, but EFB v 2 doesn't see the second lane... I don't know what to do!

Strange, I have (I guess at least so) the same airport by Amsim which shows both RWYs. Did you see that there is an update at simMarket that covers a new ground BGL? Did you run the DbBuilder after installing?

Well, just coming by to give some feedback and thanks for the help and tips. Indeed copying both the profile(s) and the proper checklist to the secondary (slave) computer (instead of only the checklist) showed the checklists on the "slave". That is one more step for me to buy this add-on when the trial ends!

Thanks for the kind words on our software! Glad that we could be of any help to solve your problems.

  9. Hi ????

Well, that's very simple to explain. You obviously use the default MSFS data for UMMS Minsk-2. This default data, contained in APX55120.bgl contains only 1 RWY, as can be seen in the  decompiled record below:

            ICAO: UMMS, Lat/Lng 53.88250, 28.03083, MagVar 5.0, Elev 658ft
            Runways: 1
            RW13R/31L  Length:3645m  Width:55m
            13R: HDG 138.8°T  ILS Ident 'IVX'  RW-Begin:53.89480, 28.01237  RW-End:53.87012, 28.04898
            31L: HDG 318.8°T  ILS Ident 'IGH'  RW-Begin:53.87012, 28.04898  RW-End:53.89480, 28.01237

Therefore also no procedures can be shown for the parallel RWY 13L/31R. EFB only uses data from the Simulator, not from other sources. MAybe in a future update MSFS also includes the missing RWY. We have however no influence on the data collection of MS/Asobo. This admittently uncomfortable situation also exists for a few other airports, as MS/Asobo uses outdated information. Under these (present) circumstances the only valid solution would be to use a payware version of UMMS, supplied e.g. by Amsim.

But on a "slave"/secondary instance of the client, I have no access to the profile editor, it says that profile modifications have to be made in the "Master" client 🤔

2 possibilities: either you "synchronize" the profile(s) in question manually (i.e. copy the profile(s) in question from the "master" directory to the "slave" directory) or you start the client considered as "Slave" first (it will then become automatically "Master" for this session) and do the assignments there.

Remember, Master/Slave assignment to the clients solely depends on the starting order of the clients. First client connected to the server is Master, each consecutive client is Slave.

Dear all, I have the same issue.

How to resize client screen so that it fits my screen ?

Normal Window Controls are used (Double Arrows at the sides or in the corners). Make sure that the window is active. If not, click into it at any position.  Have you ever heard of THIS button for Full Screen?

  12. Hello Reinhold,

You do not install any airport in EFB, you install them into your simulator. Once it is properly installed, just run the DbBuilder with the "Update Simulator" Option. This will add the installed airport to your EFB database. It's all described in the Manual "4 Database, Chapter 2.3 Update Simulator".

  13. Hi Jaap,

Accroding to our information, the callup-code (airfile name) for default the B787-8i returned by MSFS is "b748". See the server protocol below:

    protocol_01.thumb.png.5537d8a96d39376283f6aa506a82a012.png

As this code is not contained in the default profiles, you need to enter it to the B747-8i Profile with the help of the Profile Editor. See screenshot below:

    protocol_02.png.96c4e09b52cd3e0dce011301e1b6544f.png

After this editing you need to restart the CLIENT inorder to update the internal profile index (and then of course also reload the A/C). Thereafter the profile should load normally.

justsim EDDS is installed in Ms2020 / Offical/Onestore thats why maybe efb dont find it

No, this is no issue. EFB will find it anyway. Nevertheless there is no reason to install an AddOn into the OneStore folder. The normal folder for all Add-Ons is \community. And btw it should at least find the two default airports, one from the fs-base scenery and one by microsoft. We are unable to provide any help if we do not have the necessary information. WE DO NOT SEE YOUR INSTALLATION !! We need the mentioned Support Files !!

its ms2020 and as far as i know edds is not existing in ms2020

Ok, there is definitely something completely wrong with your installation. In today's fully updated MSFS EDDS is available as default airport as well as a detailed airport from Microsoft (since World Update DACH). Together with your JustSim installation you should have EDDS installed THREE TIMES ! If everything is properly installed and configured, the information page from EDDS should look as shown below:

    EDDS_01.png.517e2dcb5d15f7d50df61eb473b4411a.png

So again, there must definitely be something completely wrong with your installation. Please run the DbBuilder again, make a  set of Support Files https://forum.aivlasoft.com/topic/3046-how-to-create-a-support-file/  and post them here.
