  2. Understood, but that does not give me enough room to run VPilot below EFB. I'm not being argumentive. Just stating that with the 1280 x 960 it leaves no room for viewable VPilot to run below EFB. I've tried every "resizing" option I know of. EFB will not shrink to allow another program. Its right in the math. 1080 - 960 only leave 120. That is not usable. As much as I like your product I can not buy something I can not use. Especially when other similar products do fit and are usable within the viewable area of my monitor. The problem I have is I really don't like the other products as much as yours. And I will not add a third monitor.

  5. See above. We have absolutely no influence on the content of the ARINC datasets prepared for EFB2 by Navigraph or NavDataPro. It's a pure sink or swim situation...🙄
  6. The first error is due an illegal path character in Area.328, see the lines which start with Title= and Local= The second error is a subsequent error because the DB was not built before.
  7. Well the RNAV for NZQN approaches are available on LittleNavmap I just checked and in the past with the PMDG NGX including the spectacular RNAV-Y 23 which I have flown (as pax) in real life. Bruceb

  11. Heya. Couple of days ago i updated Aivlasoft server and client too the newest build which is 118 and version 2.1. Had too update the server due too new airac, started the update process and suddenly it stops way faster then what it normally takes when doing a update or rebuild of the DB. https://i.imgur.com/yxsKbpw.jpg <-- this is the error i get, first one too translate from Norwegian it says "Invalid character in the path" 2nd says "can't find the file" Topic will have server and client support files attached so you folks can find out what is causing this, i dont know what has happened. I worked fine, but after the update it went XXXXXXXXX 😕 words deleted by Admin.   12. Yes, that's basically it. The "normal" navaids (VORs, NDBs TACANs etc) are in the default scenery BGLs with the Prefix APX*** (airport layouts, ILS) and NVX*** (all other navaids). You can only tune a navaid if it is defined within a BGL file. In the case of the ILS usually the Aiport AddOn Designers include the most recent ILS in their airport layout BGL. This will then kinda "oversteer" the default ILS (if wrong in the default BGL) and replace it with the correct data. Most of it is described in the linked article to our Q&A section. Unfortunately this is the way all FSX/P3D (so-called MS-based simulators) work with with navaids. EFB2 of course uses the most recent (if regularly updated) ARINC data, but this is only used for display within EFB2. You can never tune a navaid that is only used in EFB2. Just as a sidenote: X-Plane is much more straightforward in this respect. there is only ONE database used throughout the entire simulator and this database is updateable within the 4-weeks AIRAC Cycle. So in fact there cannot be any conflict with any navaids, if both EFB2 and S-Plane use the same AIRAC Cycle, because all navaids within the same cycle are identical.

  14. In EFBv2 a new feature called 'Measure' was introduced which is much more flexible and therefore the v1-option is no longer required.
  15. Well, I value EFB2 more than fsaerodata so, after years of using both, I have reverted to Herve's approach. P3D actually loads faster now that I've discontinued fsaerodata. However, I agree with Marc that the fsaerodata was a bit more complete. That said, since 95% of my flightsim time is spent in top-end airliner addons that use Navigraph, the adjustment won't be as bad as I had hoped. I have Herve's 2006 cycle installed and EFB2 is happy now. I've been simming since the late 1980s, so I have learned that this is the way things go sometimes. I appreciate both developers, but I am forced to choose: I chose Aivlasoft. Take care.

I apologize if this topic has been discussed before, but I have searched the forum and I haven't been able to find any information about it.   18. Hi Alexander, Frequency and ident of a navaid are compared with "real world" data from ARINC. But the navaid is still defined in the BGL! In the case of LOWW I use FlyTampa's LOWW AddOn and it shows all frequencies and ID correctly. All those ILS data are contained in the Airport BGL "LOWW_DEICE_ADEP4_FLYTAMPA.bgl" and crosschecked with ARINC data. The "problem" of ILS categorization is a simple flag in the ARINC dataset and of no importance for correct display of frequency and ID. The only difference it makes, is that in the Approach Profile the Minima Columns for CAT II and CAT III are showing up, but of course with the remark "NA". That's all... Addendum: I just checked FlyTampa, ORBX and the default airport , the latter however only in P3DV4, and all show 4 correct ILS installations. So your installation must be outdated regarding ILS.
  19. hi @aivlasoft thanks for the reply and for moving the topic (my fault i didn't saw the BIG FAT "NOT FOR SUPPORT" sign ) yeah i know the topic and i read it. I have the Navigraph FMS updater and yesterday i update from cycle 2005 to 2006 but the ILS/LOC approach/frequencies are still missing. On the vacc-Austria charts the ILS/LOC are displayed as cat I (or something). i cant figure out whats wrong.
  20. Hi together, the navdata-update is a real dilemma of course 😜 Herve Sors updates are really good, but only update stock airports. This is not working out with standard addons like Vector (which adds a lot of elevation corrected airports! - with old navdata of course) fsAerodata follows a different approach, it deletes the airport navaids that are outdated and adds an updated version to the top scenery priority (with a provided fix it also works regarding the elevation issues after 4.5HF2). Still the problems with addons remain, because these navaids will not be disabled, so it may happen that there are several ILS-facilities for a specific airport. Also the addition of these ILS-facilities in a separate scenery layer is done a bit unconventionally and therefore EFB is not compatible with it 🙁 The perfect tool would do it this way 😉: Scan the scenery library and identify all available airports (only those with the highest priority of course / also considering addons) Identify the airports which need an update of their facilities (ILS, NDB, RWY ID, etc.) Change that specific airport and update it, changing the navdata inside the BGL itself. But I would guess one would run into some copyright-problems doing that approach and that's the main problem with it... Marc
  21. Jeff, it is the way how fsAerodata is doing it which is not compatible with the logic in EFB. From a higher point of view it's the 'old problem' that the BGL files contain both airport data and navdata. Tools like fsAerodata and Hervé Sors Updates have to cope with this but they do it in different ways. While Hervé Sors' is compatible, fsAerodata unfortunately isn't.
  22. I too regret this incompatibility. I guess it is because fsaerodata has to be below all add-on airports since P3Dv4.5 HF 2 whereas it could override add-ons by being above them previously. Why not consider an option where fsaerodata's BGLs could be scanned as an option? I have been a long-time EFB user and this, as it seems it is for the OP, is a very bad turn of events for me.
  23. Hi Urs, Thank you for the quick answer. Chapter 15 was the only chapter of the manual that I didn't read so far. That explains everything. I can see now that the runway in FSX is indeed misplaced. Maybe I can fix this with Airport Design Editor, I have to read that manual. Regards, Dirk

  25. Hi Dirk, first of all, it has nothing to do with the demo build. The demo build is the same code as the licensed version, in fact there is no different code, it's the license that makes the difference. What you describe is a problem with the automatic runway assignment which obviously failed at LTBY due to the different positions of the simulator runway(s) and the real world runway(s). You can check this in the Client window by using the key "Ctrl + Alt + A° (default assignment) and it will depict the r/w runway in red. Please also see the manual "5 EN Client.pdf", chapter 15 "Troubleshooting".
  26. When I open the Procedures window for LTBY runway 09, the following message is displayed: No procedures available due to missing runway mappings. What exactly is the meaning of this ? According to the latest Navigraph data rwy 09 has an ILS. I checked with the Airport Design Editor but the stock airport LTBY in FSX has no ILS. I added the ILS with the Airport Design Editor and rebuilded the EFB database. But after this , EFB shows still the same message (No procedures available due to missing runway mappings) Is there a way to show this ILS procedure in EFB ? I still use the demo Build #118.
