Charles Tucker
EFB version 2.1 Flight plan with simbrief (no sid or star. To simulate a possible change to landing and departure runway) Steps to discover issue / bug 1. Load the flight plan into the EFB (no sid or star) 2. At the departure airport, call up P3D ATC. You're are presented with the option to either select Atis or request IFR clearance 4. Enter departure procedure into EFB and set FPL 5. The option to request IFR clearance is immediately revoked and replaced with a VRF option. STAR does not work either but in a completely different way. Modify the landing procedure inflight, and the destination Airport is changed to the selected landing runway number. ATC will direct you as expected to the airport but no landing clearance will be given.
aivlasoft
Hi Charles, the built in ATC from P3D has nothing to do with the procedures in EFB. The simulator's ATC is using the default procedures which are also built-in in the underlying BGL files. These procedures are more or less 'static' and can only be updated using specifically designed software such as 'fsAerodata'. EFB is using procedure data from the installed AIRAC cycle (either Aerosoft NavDataPro, or Navigraph FMS data). BTW, EFB does not support 'fsAerodata' (see the specifications of EFB). Charles Tucker
Thanks, it's a bit disappointing considering it worked perfectly on the v1
