Airports not showing in Airport Selector of Display unit

Recommended Posts

Hi, I appreciate any help available for an issue I have been battling with for a couple of days now, I originally installed Aivlasoft EFB a couple of years ago prior to the launch of Steam, all worked well with the information available considerable, adding a real interest in to FSX. Earlier this year I downloaded Steam in the hope to fix a couple of historical issues, all went well until earlier this week when I decided to start using EFB. I noted it had been updated so I downloaded and installed a clean copy. The instructions of the Installation and Configuration document were closely followed, yes, by now I think readers will already anticipate what I’m going to say next, PROBLEMS!!

The Scenery.cfg is my problem, after inserting what I thought was the path of the scenery.cfg folder and running the Data Provider, when loading the Display Unit, I find I have no Airports listed in the selector, well, that isn’t strictly true, I do have London Heathrow and Gatwick which are UK2000 add-ons, but none of the FSX airports and a couple of other UK2000. I spent a considerable amount of time in an attempt to source the issue but I am still at a loss, can somebody help please?

I have attached a screen-print of the settings page of the Data Provider showing the path to the scenery.cfg, and a copy of scenery.cfg file containing airport files.(not allowed?)

My apologies for any duplication but this seems to have been a problem for some years but and I am unable to find an answer.

Thank you

Jim

Hi Jim,

obviously I was not really attentive when I looked at the screenshot you provided. Sorry for that. After having had a look at the logfiles I realized that the installation path of the simulator is not set properly. The path ends with "\AivlaSoft" which I assume is not right. This wrong path will be taken when the DataProvider is trying to read the simulator files and as a result of this, the DataProvider cannot any file because they are at another place.

Try to set the correct installation path.

hi all, i read this post with interest as i have just downloaded this program after watching some videos on you tube about it. i was impressed hence my download 2 days ago, i still haven't  managed to get this software to work, as i also have the same problem i have the steam ver of fsx and cannot locate the correct path to the scenery.cfg in fsx. i found one but read in a forum that this scenery.cfg is not the one to use in steam fsx ?. very frustrating indeed. i feel that in a few days time i will lose patience and not pay for this software as i have it on a 30 day trial so 28 days to find the solution. any idea will be very welcome, i also use as16 weather and i use the pmdg 737 ngx which is awesome so want to that that extra bit of realism to complete the fsx please advise

regards Paul
