ScottecLEMD
Hi Currently using EFB Version 1.6.5 on Windows 10 and Prepar3D V3.0 I have an intermittent problem whe I launch the data provider windown (with Admin rights), normally when either the NavData has been updated to a newer cycle or I run the Scenery Updater, as follows: "Only one usage of each socket address (protocol/netwrok address/port) is normally permitted. I am running the Data Provider and the Display Unit on the same PC. This has only started happening with V1.6.5 and, as mentioned above, I can only tie this to either a Nav or Scenery update. The program seems to initialise again without problem after restarting the PC. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks and regards Ken Update! Just noticed that when I closed the Majestic Dash8 Control Panel the problem disappeared so it would appear to be more related to having this running first. So, if I load the Data Provider 1st then the MJC Panel then everything is OK. **************************************************************** See the end of this message for details on invoking aivlasoft
Hi Ken, the message "Only one usage of each socket address (protocol/netwrok address/port) is normally permitted." usually appears if two programs are using the same IP-address and port number. You can change the port number which is used by EFB in the settings of both the DataProvider AND the DisplayUnit. You always have to change the port number on both sides to the same number. Please also read the installation manual, section 3, page 2 and 13.
ScottecLEMD
Hi Urs, Many thanks for the reply. I will look into changing the port number since I think this is due to running the EFB and Majestic Control panel at the same time; was never a problem prior to installing Majestic. I will give it a go and monitor the situation and report back if not sovled, Thanks again. Ken
walshmagger
Unhandled exception means that some of the executable programs in the application you are trying to run/install are violating the integrity of the configuration of your system. It will not allow you to proceed but it has no way of informing you what is the exact error message. It could be that it is trying to write on a memory space reserved for the operating system or that some of the program code is corrupted.
