Hi,

How can I get rid of the following message that is very much frequent on my remote PC :

Window title : EFB Display Unit-Settings

"Unhandled exception has occured in your application....If you click continue....

Access to the path :

"\\name of local PC\users\Jean-Louis\Documents\AivlaSoft\EFB\UserDat\FlightLogs\name of active currrent route" is denied

The incriminated path is pretty well set/declared within "Folders an links" tab of the remote PC settings

There should be a trick for sure !!

Many thanks

Jean-Louis,

the path you mentioned is only used either from within the library module when accessing the flight logs, or at the moment when the flight log is being written to the hard disk. The latter one happens at the moment when the engines are shut down. Can you give me some further information about the moment when the problem happens? If the dialog "Unhandled exception ..." is presented, could you please send me the content of the text which is attached to the box?

Bonjour Urs,

Thanks for your assistance.

"Can you give me some further information about the moment when the problem happens?" Yes, I confirm it happens at the end of a flight

"If the dialog "Unhandled exception ..." is presented, could you please send me the content of the text which is attached to the box?" :

Here it is :

See the end of this message for details on invoking

just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

Bonjour Urs,

"the target path is on another computer than EFB DisplayUnit is running" : correct. As I told you this message only occurs on the remote computer not on the local one. To be more precise I run DU on both PCs : I set my route on the local PC before flying and I check it on the remote one while flying. It means both DU are running when flying : one hidden (local PC) as a kind of backup and the other one visible (remote PC)

Are the access rights sufficient for "write"? I think they are but how can I make sure about that ?

Did you change the folders settings only recently ? No I didn't. This error message has been occuring for a long time.

Merci de ton aide

Salut Jean-Louis,

I think that the problem is due to a simultaneously try to write the "same" file (flight log) into the same folder. I assume that both settings for the flight log's folder are pointing to the same physical location? Try to change the flight log's path from one DisplayUnit to another folder.

Salut Urs,

"I assume that both settings for the flight log's folder are pointing to the same physical location"

Affirm !

"Try to change the flight log's path from one DisplayUnit to another folder"

Did it and now it works far better, this "bl..." error message has gone !

Merci beaucoup
