Hello, here is the problem: System is Win10, P3Dv4, EFB 1.6.9. Display unit on the networked computer does not connect (ok on the sim computer) . Port numbers on Provider and Display are the same (I tried different numbers). Provider data folder is on a network drive, all drive/folder sharings and permissions seem to be ok. Simconnect clients 10.0.60905.0, 10.0.61242.0, 10.0.61259.0 are installed ... but the DisplayUnit does not connect. What am I doing wrong? Regards, Andreas

Compatibility AivlaSoft and FsAerodata
agutz replied to Timonier's topic in EFB v1 (Read only, no longer supported)
Hi Marc, I don't see any errors, but then I'm not a specialist. What the installer does (should do) is adding two scenery areas: FSAD_Approaches and FSAD_Navaids to your ProgramData folder. If you have something like the Scenery Config Editor for P3D you could check it. I think it's best to contact Jose Rubio at support@fsaerodata.com . -
Compatibility AivlaSoft and FsAerodata
agutz replied to Timonier's topic in EFB v1 (Read only, no longer supported)
Hello Marc, So that's why! It looks like FsAerodata doesn't realise you are using P3D or doesn't find the P3D folder in "Drive:\users\yourname\documents\fsaerodata files\navigation data". Inside there should be 2 more folders: PROC and PROC_SIDs. You could check that in "Drive:\users\yourname\documents\fsaerodata files\settings.xml". -

Compatibility AivlaSoft and FsAerodata
agutz replied to Timonier's topic in EFB v1 (Read only, no longer supported)
Hi Marc, you didn't specify what " the problem of this compatibility" is. I don't know if you use the same installer. Maybe the one I got is a beta. I don't see any problems with EFB. FSAerodata creates 2 new items in FSX senery library: FSAD_Approaches and FSAD_Navaids. Perhaps you get in touch with Jose Rubio at support@fsaerodata.com . -
Compatibility AivlaSoft and FsAerodata
agutz replied to Timonier's topic in EFB v1 (Read only, no longer supported)
Hi Marc and Urs, just to let you know that FsAerodata released an update compatible with Aivlasoft's EFB. They have a new installer which I tested with their AIRAC 1613 and didn't find any problems with EFB. -
Hello, yes, I can select all buttons. The problem is solved. It actually was that the "Airport Information" window opened minimised, hidden behind other windows. Regards, Andreas

Hello, when I select the tab "Airport information" nothing happens. What's wrong? Regards, Andreas

At LFSB only Rwy 26 is selectable
agutz replied to Norljus's topic in EFB v1 (Read only, no longer supported)
Could be that you are not using the stock LFSB but a newer addon where the old rwy denominators 16/34 are already changed to 15/33. Look in ...\your name\documents\aivlasoft\efb\userdata\runways.text. If you find the lines LFSB 08 08 LFSB 26 26 LFSB 16 15 LFSB 34 33 LFSB 16L 15R change them to //LFSB 08 08 //LFSB 26 26 //LFSB 16 15 //LFSB 34 33 //LFSB 16L 15R Cheers, Andreas -
Can't find Navigraph data folder
agutz replied to jeffeven's topic in EFB v1 (Read only, no longer supported)
I also found it a bit confusing first to insert a path for P3D, since I am not using P3D. Just use the same path as for the FSX box. Regards, Andreas -
Thanks to Wolfgang! As I have posted before I had the same problems with AI traffic disappearing after some time. Disabling VSD with the PMDG 373NGX has helped. Regards, Andreas

AI traffic gradually disappearing
agutz replied to agutz's topic in EFB v1 (Read only, no longer supported)
Hi Urs, simconnect being the cause sounds reasonable. FSCommander using FSUIPC doesn't have these problems. My traffic settings are 50% for both UT2 and VoxATC. That should't be too much. Looking forward to EFB v2. Regards, Andreas -
Hi Urs, sorry to warm up an old topic of mine but I still don't see AI traffic all of the time in the EFB Display Unit. Specifically: Whether I run RC4 (with UT2) or VoxTAC (UT2 disabled in exe.xml) all AI traffic disappears gradually after about 15 minutes into the flight. It disappears both from DataProvider's AI a/c monitor and from Display Unit regardless whether the Display Unit is running on the server or the client PC. When I restart the DataProvider AI traffic is there but again disappears after some time. I can see the traffic in FSX. RC4 or VoxATC both are interacting with it. (Apart from that EFB is working perfectly.) Do you need any further information about my settings? Regards, Andreas
-
Just to conclude this threat: I reduced traffic in VoxATC and killed UT2 that was running at the same time (I know I shouldn't have done that). Works much better now, although VoxTAC's traffic is one of the weak ponts of this program. On the whole I prefer RC4. Regards, Andreas
-
Urs, I don't think the FSX computer is overloaded but yes, it's a wireless network. EFB Display Unit is usually quite stable running together with RC4, IYP on the client. I will reduce traffic in VoxATC and see how that goes. Regards, Andreas
-
Urs, I did another flight that didn't go too well. EFB Display Unit disconnected five times, two times it didn't reconnect, I had to restart the Display Unit. When it was working I saw the AI traffic. AI aircraft monitor was showing the traffic all of the time. Regards, Andreas
-
Urs, I'll watch it next time and report back. Regards, Andreas
-
Travis, I am running version 6.05. Traffic disappears completely from EFB Display Unit. I can still hear VoxATC talking. What puzzles me is that I have all the traffic on FSCommander. Regards, Andreas
-
When using VoxATC the AI traffic which is visible in the EFB Display Unit at the departure airport disappears enroute and at the arrival airport. It is, however, visible all of the time in FSCommander run in parallel. Both are running on a client PC. Are there any settings in EFB I didn't check? Regards, Andreas
-
Hi Urs, it looks like FSX is more picky than the rest. EFB and all the others seem to be happy with UNC names. Regards, Andreas
-
Thanks Urs, I found (but don't understand) the problem: The path to FSX flightplans was "\\ag-pc\users\ag\documents\flight simulator x-dateien" as on the picture I attached to the first post. That didn't work. Changing it to the network drive name "y:\ag\documents\flight simulator x-dateien" made it work. Regards, Andreas
-
Hi, when saving a flightplan for FSX in the shortest form (KSEAKSFO.pln) as indicated in "Flightplan name" it always gets saved in the form "EFB Seattle-Tacoma Intl (KSEA) to San Francisco Intl (KSFO).pln". With all the others (iFly, ISG, PMDG) I get the flightplan names I chose. Regards, Andreas
-
Yes, changing DisableVSD=0 to DisableVSD=1 in FS2Crewdata.ini works. Regards, Andreas
-
Ok, I should have done a search before posting. I'm flying PMDG 737NGX with FS2Crew. What I found as proposed solution is changing DisableVSD = 0 to DisableVSD =1 in FS2Crewdata.ini. I will report back (seems not to have worked for everybody). Regards, Andreas

Hi, when I start a flight with EFB I can see AI traffic on Ground, also in part of Departure. Then it disappears and never comes back in Enroute, Arrival etc. TRFC is checked all the time. I do get traffic advisories from RC4 and I can see plenty of traffic when I run FSCommander parallel to EFB. EFB is running on the client PC. For traffic I use UT2. Am I doing anything wrong? Regards, Andreas
