DB Build after Update to 135: Path/Filename too long

Good morning,

I just updated to 2.3/135. While re-creating the database, there are some errors alike

2022-11-26 07:11:21.907   Debug   : MaterialLibs: Error in path 'C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.

Obviously true, but using all default paths.

But then, most of those paths contain buzzwords like "Mission", "Livery", but a very few contain "model" or "panel"

Ist this something to worry about?

Thanks and best regards,

HP.

Having too long paths has nothing to do with EFB, it is unfortunately an issue which is introduced by the designers of MSFS. They obviously still aren't aware of the limitation of the path length for Windows. The only remedy for this is to reinstall MSFS to a dedicated (short) path like C:\MSFS or anything similar.

The PMDG operations app will detect and solve this issue (for all) by adding/changing a registry value. Pathname length restriction (260 chars) affects their livery saves as well.

You can do it yourself as well, just google around. For Home you have to edit the registry, for Pro you can change a group policy. You must be relatively up to date with the OS.
