FieselWiesel
Moved to proper forum by Admin Hi, short question. Can EFB already grab the weather from REX WeatherForce 2020? Thanks & best, Florian
aivlasoft
Hi Florian, I don't know this product yet but I guess that they use the same data format as for their previous products. Sorry for not being more precise but currently I'm fully engaged with the integration of MSFS.
FieselWiesel
Fully fine, thanks Urs! Even this one is still "no really super finished" product, I mean which 3rd party is for the MSFS right now, and I did not expected that you already have an API etc for that. REX WeatherForce 2020 is the new product for the MSFS from REX and still quite limited in his functions due to the fact that teh SDK is still not open. I do have EFB running on "live weather" for now which is quite the same.
FieselWiesel
Hey, just wanted to follow up on the "REX WeatherForce 2020" topic. If I check the box in weather on "Simulator" as source ... he should take the weather which REX is sending into the MSFS, right? Thanks in advance! aivlasoft
Hi Florian, 1 hour ago, FieselWiesel said: If I check the box in weather on "Simulator" as source ... he should take the weather which REX is sending into the MSFS, right? No. Reading weather data from the simulator is not possible with MSFS. See the limitations here. Workaround: As long as REX WF2020 is providing weather data from real world you may switch the weather provider in EFB to 'Real World' too. I assume that REX also gets its weather data from NOAA.
