Anyone who has ever flown on a commercial airplane knows that the flight always start out at the gate. You dont load your passengers and fuel the aircraft on the runway. If that's what you are asking about, then EFB's plans are intended to go from airport-to-airport. It's quite often than one would not always start a flight from Zürich to San Fransisco at Gate E34. So the method we encourage would have you select your airport / parking on the Free Flight screen and then to load the .pln into FSX when you are running your startup procedure.
