Airport Map not in sync with scenery

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Just loving the new version, but I have seen a problem with the map not in sync with the scenery.

I was taxiing on the taxiway in the sim but the map showed me as being on the grass. This was with an addon scenery and I did update the Server after installing the scenery as I should. As EFB V2 reads the scenery.cfg directly could this be a problem with the AFCAD file within the scenery, or am I missing something?

thanks

Keith

Yes, most probably the Add-On scenery does not provide the necessary information on its ground polygon information in the respective BGL. Can you provide more information on the used Add-On scenery?

Thanks Oskar for the reply..

The scenery was Eiresim's version of Alicante LEAL. Its an old FSX version which I tested for P3D compatibility so I guess as its so old now the required info is not in the scenery files as you have suggested. I have removed the scenery now and everything is back to normal.

Thanks

Keith

I'm experiencing similar problems, but with ISD's LIMC. I know it's an oldie but it works more or less with P3Dv4 :-) Sadly the map seems to stick at the "default" one despite having updated the database multiple times.

Eric

Well, it doesn't help updating the database multiple times. More important is whether the path for LIMC is correct (i guess it is, otherwise you wouldn't see it in P3D V4), and whether there is a valid BGL containing the neccessary information. That's all it requires. As we don't know this installation, we can't say anything about that. With older sceneries it is easily possible that they use the default BGL. Check the scenery path of your LIMC installation for a valid AFCAD BGL.
