bill10
I'm a longtime user of EFB and I have a question about EFB's ability to generate charts. (Ground,Enroute,Arrival etc.) I have an ADDON airport scenery added to FSX's scenery library. The addon airport scenery works correct in FSX. The addon airport scenery is for an airport that was NOT included in the original FSX. The airport only exists as an ADDON scenery. I have up to date nav data that DOES include the addon airport. My question: Will EFB be able to read the addon airports scenery BGL's and nav data to create the charts? Or since the airport is not contained within FSX, EFB cannot create the charts. Thanks, Sheldon
aivlasoft
Hi Sheldon, EFB will read this new airport. It requires that the airport is properly listed in the scenery.cfg which is obviously done since you write that it works in FSX. Therefore just run the "Scenery data update" from the DataProviders "data" menu, which allows the DataProvider to rebuild its database.
bill10
Hello Urs, Thanks so much for your reply. I thought EFB would be able to read the airport but I wanted to make sure I was correct. I did run the "Scenery data update" from the DataProviders "data" menu but I'm getting an error when reading an imported flight plan. The airport code is also not there when using the Airport selector. The error I receive is "Origin airport with ICAO code RJNS is not available in FSX" The addon airport scenery I'm using is Wing Creations RJNS.
