  1. So I monitored the AI aircraft using the tool and I still see excessive ground speed indications. A company plane type B733 was doing 431kts GS, the tool and EFB was indicating 807kts. A little off.
  2. I've had it set to 100nm, which is max, for over a year now.
  3. So I tried the online AI aircraft monitor and speeds seem to be fine but the util is kind of useless to me as I run my FSX in full screen mode which completely overlaps the monitor window. One other issue I'm seeing as well is some online aircraft appear on EFB and some do not. Seems to be hit and miss now since upgrading to v1.3.2. For instance the other night I was flying with a couple other pilots and I could only see one of them on the apron in EFB yet in FSX both planes are at the Gates. I would try to disconnect and reconnect with Squawkbox and the appearances would switch. I notice the same thimg with other online aircraft in the area. Looks very random. Something odd is definitely happening here. I think I may downgrade to the previous version and try it again. Thanks!
  4. Hey Urs, Funny you mentioned that. As I was shutting down the last time I used EFB, I saw that option in the Data Provider menu. I'll give it a try next time I use it. Should I un-check the "km/h" option before hand? I want to see "kts". Thanks.
  5. Thanks for the tip. Weird. Never had that ticked before and it worked fine. I'll give it a try. Thanks!
  6. Gents, Notice a weird issue when observing online aircraft. The indicated speeds seem to be about 70-80% higher in EFB than their actual speeds. An example was last night while flying with company CXA aircraft, EFB speeds indicated +900kts, actual speed +500kts. Noticed this after upgrading to v1.3.2. Anyone else see this? Thanks!
  7. Just an FYI, had to place AX(Antarctica X) in the EFB ignore list. It seems anything placed above AX in FSX Scenery manager does not get properly recognized when updating. Instead, it loads the FSX Default airport layouts. T.
  8. Thanks for the update Urs! I guess if the issue only resides in Antarctica and doesn't have any other sort of domino effect in other areas, I'm fine with it until the update comes out. Thanks again!
  9. Greetings, Getting the following error when updating after installing the new Antarctica X scenery. Any ideas? Thanks! 2011-12-14 22:22:14 Error CreateAirportInfoLists, Filename:C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\aerosoft\Antarctica X\Scenery\AF2_AQ02.bgl Position:164 Layer:271, ICAO:AQ02, Exception:The given key was not present in the dictionary., StackTrace: at System.ThrowHelper.ThrowKeyNotFoundException() at System.Collections.Generic.Dictionary`2.get_Item(TKey key) at ib.g(String A_0) at ib.a(List`1 A_0) 2011-12-14 22:22:14 Info Index creation not successful. 2011-12-14 22:22:14 Error Region and/or Country is NULL. 10. Okay thanks! Just wanted to make sure it wasn't on my side. Seems to be fine now. Cheers!
  11. Greetings, Just wondering if there is any maintenance on Aivlasoft's side or are these error messages local to my hosts? 12. Hey Ing, If you're using the NGX, there's an issue with NGX, Simconnect and EFB. It's touch and go on seeing Online traffic. Usually a no go. Here's some previous posts. viewtopic.php?f=5&t=698 viewtopic.php?f=5&t=658 This is only if you're flying the PMDG NGX. Any other plane, I haven't had any issues. T.
  13. I would suggest running it on the system that will be the least busy and/or has the greater resources (CPU/memory). If it were me, I'd would leave the FSX machine for just FSX. I have a dual PC setup as well and run everything else on the secondary and dedicate the primary for FSX. Reduces the chance of any stutters or sudden drop of FPS while on approach for example. Good luck!
  14. Very weird issue. I can use another product (not mentioning any names...FSC) with the NGX and there are no problems with online traffic. The only difference is the way it connects to FSX, via FSUIPC/WideFS. The only thing I can see here is that FSUIPC must filter out all the extra data(??) that simconnect passes through when flying the NGX. (One of my reasons I specified in the Wishlist forum to have an option to use either SimConnect or FSUIPC). Weird.
  15. Just wondering if anyone else is seeing issues when using EFB on a secondary PC and flying the NGX? I'm not seeing any other AI/VATSIM traffic displayed on EFB when using the NGX. Using any other aircraft, traffic is displayed fine. I get the following error in the EFB logfile: 2011-08-11 21:17:46,868 [1] ERROR AivlaSoft.Efb.DataProvider [(null)] - Exception from FSX received: TOO_MANY_REQUESTS 2011-08-11 21:17:46,868 [1] ERROR AivlaSoft.Efb.DataProvider [(null)] - Exception from FSX received: TOO_MANY_REQUESTS (repeated ...) Just to confirm, I do see traffic outside of the cockpit when this happens. Thanks!
  16. There was a Win7_64 update to the .NET Framework 4 Client Profile (KB2473228) that was applied to my system on June 27th. Maybe this had an impact? Not sure. Either way, yes, this hasn't had any impact on usability that I can see. Still works. Thanks.
  17. Hello, Just curious if this warning message is normal when shutting down FSX and EFB disconnects: 2011-06-30 11:04:46,897 [1] INFO AivlaSoft.Efb.DataProvider [(null)] - FSX terminated by user 2011-06-30 11:04:46,897 [1] INFO AivlaSoft.Efb.DataProvider [(null)] - Starting 'automatic re-connection procedure' 2011-06-30 11:04:46,897 [1] INFO AivlaSoft.Efb.DataProvider [(null)] - SimConnect started. 2011-06-30 11:04:46,897 [1] INFO AivlaSoft.Efb.DataProvider [(null)] - SimConnect data transfer mode changed to 'inactive' 2011-06-30 11:04:46,897 [1] INFO AivlaSoft.Efb.DataProvider [(null)] - Trying to establish a connection to FSX ... 2011-06-30 11:04:46,897 [1] WARN AivlaSoft.Efb.DataProvider [(null)] - DefWndProc:Attempted to read or write protected memory. 18. Ya, those runways definitely do not exist anymore and it's not causing me any problems. Just an FYI. Thanks guys!
  19. No, I did not post this on Navigraph's forum. There are no SIDS/STARS for this airport. Just getting this weird runway error. Thx, Todd.
  20. I'm assuming this is a incorrect RWY assignment within Navigraph's update? 02 & 20 definitely do not exist at this airport. 011-06-20 10:04:34,069 [1] INFO AivlaSoft.Efb.DataProvider [(null)] - Request for Airport [CYMJ] from '192.168.1.17' received. 2011-06-20 10:04:34,869 [1] INFO AivlaSoft.Efb.DataProvider [(null)] - Request for Airport [CYBR] from '192.168.1.17' received. 2011-06-20 10:04:34,875 [1] WARN AivlaSoft.Efb.DataProvider [(null)] - Navdata runway ident 02 at airport CYBR could not be assigned to FSX runway. 2011-06-20 10:04:34,875 [1] WARN AivlaSoft.Efb.DataProvider [(null)] - Navdata runway ident 20 at airport CYBR could not be assigned to FSX runway. 2011-06-20 10:04:34,875 [1] INFO AivlaSoft.Efb.DataProvider [(null)] - Available FSX runways at this airport are as follows: 08, 26, 14, 32 Thx, Todd.
