  1. I am trying to run EFBv2 with Win10 and P3Dv4.329.25520 and run into the following problem:

after creating the database I get the following message:

    "Database creation finished with 0 warning(s) and/or 1 error(s).

I took some screenshots and the error points to a missing "add-ons.cfg" file, which is not in the specified location. I just installed P3D and have not made any modifications yet.

If I than try to connect the Server with the Client, I get an error as seen in the screenshot. The IP address seems to differ in the log-file and the settings menu. The server PC has a fixed IP address and I don't know where the "Desktop-I08L8Q0 comes from?

I was trying to attach a log-file, however I am not sure which one.

  2. Hi lonewulf47,

my reasons for the dual boot: Eventually I have to re-install FSX-SE and basically clean it up properly. While I am doing that, I can still fly with P3D and I am familiar with WIN10. Yes, I needed an additional license.

So you see no problem with installing the Server (Database) on my 2nd SSD and run the Client (display) on a different PC. Logic says there should be no problem since it is running on a different SSD with the same OS.

    Thanks

  3. Hi,

I have recently installed a 2nd SSD and use it in a dual boot configuration.

    I have EFB v2 running in FSX-SE (on SSD # 1 w. WIN10) in a Server/Client arrangement.

I would like now to do the same in P3D (on SSD # 2 w. WIN10) Server/Client arrangement.

Since the client is already installed on another PC, I don't know how to proceed. I hope I have made myself understandable what I am trying to achieve.

    Thanks for help

  4. Hi Lonewulf,

I was mistaken in one of my posts in that I stated I positioned the aircraft at VTBS (should have been WMKK - Kuala Lumpur).

Also it is correct VTBS does NOT exist in FSX-SE (found that out this morning; flight from WMKK to VTBS)

So all is good (the error display in EFB v1 clearly stated that VTBS does not exist - a little easier for troubleshooting).

    Again thanks for help

  5. HI,

I wanted to fly from WMKK(Kuala Lumpur) to VTBS(Bangkok), with a flight plan from Sim Brief. When I tried to select the flight plan from the company routes it is grayed out. If I than highlight it it comes up with a warning: Invalid routing. Please see the validation summary and update the route.

The validation summary says: Destination airport VTBS is not available due to filter criteria  of the currently selected aircraft profile.

The current selected aircraft is a B747-400 (FSX-SE PMDG B747-400).

For the life of me I can't see anything wrong in the aircraft profile filter.

    Any suggestions I would appreciate

  6. Hi Jonas,

You are correct. The Navigraph FMS Data Manager creates two folders : AIRAC and Navigraph FMS Data. So when pointing Navigraph to the EFB2 it duplicated these directories again.

So I just pointed Navigraph Data Manager up to : C:documents>Aivlasoft>EFB2>Server and it created a folder AIRAC and subfolder Navigraph FMS Data. Now the AIRAC is correct and I was able to update.

    Thanks for help

  7. Hi,

I started the Data Base Builder in order to update the AIRAC from cycle 1802 to cycle 1807.

I imported the new cycle with the Navigraph MS Data Manager and pointed the installer to C:user>username>Documents>Aivlasoft>EFB2>Server>AIRAC>Navigraph FMS DATA. The new cycle is installed at that location (see screenshot), however it does not appear in the Data Base Builder so I can import the new cycle. The displayed cycle remains at AIRAC 1802. The manual only states this:

"Select the Navdata Provider of your choice on the top line. After its selection the installation path and the information for the available AIRAC Cycle is displayed.
The path to the Navdata files cannot be altered as it is part of the fixed data structure of the EFB v2 Server.
Press "Start Import" to activate the Creation/Update process of the EFB v2 Database."

Shouldn't the Cycle Information" display Cycle 1807???

    Thanks

  8. Jonas,

I certainly appreciate your efforts, however mostly I don't understand what you want me to do:

Please check if the scenery.cfg located at C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Fsx\scenery.cfg is the one that should be used.

I don't know if this is the scenery.cfg that should be used? Yes, there is a scenery.cfg located in the folder you listed!

For testing, make sure your sim is not running and you start the EFB server with admin rights.

Same error, but I didn't change anything.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY: Check if scenery.cfg, located at ...... is the one that should be used???????

    Thanks
