I am currently testing vPilot which is a new VATSIM client that will replace SquawkBox and FS-Inn that are showing their age. One issue that you will probably being hearing about in the future is the w/ vPilot traffic no longer properly in EFB. Ground traffic seems to appear OK. Departure and approach traffic is iffy. Sometimes it shows up and sometimes it doesn't. Enroute traffic doesn't show up at all. Ross Carlson the developer of vPilot is aware of the issue, but is not sure if the problem is on the vPilot end or not. Just thought I would give you the heads up and you are bound to hear about it down the road.

Is it possible to use EFB with Prepar3D v2? If so, how can it be configured so that I can continue to use EFB w/ FSX & P3D? Thanks in advance,

Having the same issue as Todd reported. Using SquawkBox 4 as well.

Aircraft do not update well in FSCommander and frequently disappear.

I know of a few pilots that had some issues with SP1 and the NGX and couldn't get traffic to appear in EFB. They ended up removing the NGX entirely from their PC, reinstalling it, apply SP1 and voilà... traffic in EFB. Not sure if this will resolve the problem for everyone, but it is worth a try.

I can also confirm that since installing SP1 for the NGX all traffic appears when flying on VATSIM. Note: Display Unit is running on a secondary PC.

I guess that would be a good enough reason. If FSBuild doesn't create the Jetways in the FSX FP, I guess it can't display them. Thanks for checking this out anyways.

When building a flight plan w/ FSBuild if I export in FSX GPS format the Jetways do not appear in EFB. However, if I export my FSBuild FP in FS2004 GPS format the Jetways do appear in EFB. This works fine for most aircraft, but some payware aircraft such as Captain Sim 757 and PMDG MD11 require an FSX formated flight plan. Does anyone know of a work around so that I can use a FSX Flight Plan w/ FSBuild but have the Jetways appear in EFB?

Update: I think I found the issue. When I activate or deactivate OrbX scenery, I use an outside tool to relayer my scenery and then Launch the DataProvidor Database Update. This time, after relayering my scenery I launched FSX, closed it then launched the Database Update and it flew.

I have about 280 scenery entries. I have disabled my antivirus and this has not made any difference.

When I update my database via the DataProvidor it take approximately 30 minutes or so to complete. Is there a way to reduce the time it takes to index my addon scenery? If not, is there a possibility in the future of having an Excludes function so that it will not search scenery such as FS Global 2010, UTX Canada, UTX USA, UTX Alaska and UTX Europe? These sceneries do not contain any use fuel informaton as far as EFB and these have tons of files that the DataProvidor is going through. My PC is an i7 975, with 12GB of RAM and solid state hard disks so it is not a case of slow hardware. Thanks in advance,

I recently purchased EFB and this has to be one of the most impressive products I have seen in a long time. Well Done! I do have a question regarding precision approaches for smaller airports. I am going to use a specific airport Trois Rivières (CYRQ) as an example, but this does apply to any smaller airports. CYRQ has an RNAV (GNSS) Rwy 05 Approach which has the following waypoints: IRLIP IKNIK KAXAT SATUK I am unable to select this approach from EFB nor can I find these waypoints when I do a search, however in the Default FSX GPS, I can select RNAV Rwy 05 approach. Any ideas on how I can have this or any other RNAV approach displayed in EFB? Thanks in advance,
