  1. Hello I'm running EFB across a network. Don't know if you remember, but some time ago I was having issues with the Data Provider keep closing while on approach, causing the networked EFB Display to go blank (trying to reconnect). We didn't pursue the matter as I was about to build new a PC for FSX and reinstall everything. Well, I've built the PC, reinstalled everything, and it's happening again. New Windows7 x64 install etc. Never happens during departure, enroute or arrival. Only ever during approach - bizarre!? I minimised FSX each time and restarted the DP, but it just keeps closing every few seconds. Guess I'll look for the logs again to send you... EDIT: Sorry, I should perhaps have added... MainPC: Win7x64 with FSX/Acceleration NetworkedPC: Win XP Pro x32 PCs are linked using 'Synergy' and I don't experience any network disconnects.
  2. Hello guys Using airac 1108, I'm trying to plan a simple, short flight... EGKK HARDY UM605 DPE LFPG departing RW26L I have UK2000 EGKK installed, and have corrected the wpnavapt file accoringly (with no DP errors) However, when I try to add the HARD5M SID, EFB comes up with something quite different to the SID on NATS I don't think there's a way of uploading pics here is there?
  3. Hello After uninstalling the iFly 737, I now have an issue with EFB... EFB will not allow me to remove the iFly tick in the checkbox from the Save options. When I try to do so, I get the never ending error of Folder Does Not Exist. Then, I can only exit the display unit by Ctrl-Alt-Del Any idea how to fix this please?
  4. Ah right, I know the files you mean. Will get them off to Urs Thanks Travis
  5. I spoke too soon... Done it again. DP shutdown, mid flight. Where does it describe how to create a log? I just acn't find it. Thanks
  6. Hello guys Would just like to say how much I'm enjoying this SERIOUS piece of kit. It does have a steep learning curve (just as serious), but is very worth while. My last flight was a VERY short hop from KPHX to KPSP. The arrival & approach procedures provided by EFB, enabled me to reproduce the RNAV (RNP) RWY 13R. That is no mean feat either. GREAT STUFF!
  7. Hi Travis Just a quick report to say I have now NOT been able to reproduce these issues I'm assuming the error was mine, in not having updated the DP after adding scenery. Fingers crossed!
  8. Hi Travis I'll test those two items and report back. In the mean time, I've also just remebered that I recently installed some new scenery, but don't recall updaing the DP, so will do that too, just in case that cased the issue. It no doubt tells me how to create a log for Urs in the manual, so will go pull out my printed copy now and scan through it. Cheers for now
  9. Ahhg!!! It gets worse This is probably connected (no pun intended). I realise I'm also getting 'disconnects' of EFB from the DP. It always seems to happen just as EFB transitions from Arrival to Approach. When I take a look at the main PC, I can see that the DP has closed! I'm at a loss, so if anyone can shed any light on this, i'd much appreciate it. Cheers
  10. Hi guys Running EFB across a network. FSX & Data Provider on Main PC with Win7x64 EFB Display on Win XPx32 I'm not having any general networking issues between them. The actual network is smooth enough to run 'Synergy' Keyboard and mouse control okay. However, on about 50% of EFB startups, the options to show traffic, and also the user aircraft, are greyed out and not available. So far, the only 'fix' I've found is close down ALL applications, including FSX, and start again. Any idea what might be wrong here? Thanks
  11. Wouldn't you know it... As you may recall, I was really hacked off due to missing the iFly discount by 3 days. Now it happens again. I finally decide to pay the full asking asking price, and Aivlasoft then prompty offer a discount 3 days later. Did you guys see me coming or what
  12. There's no need to be so 'smug' and scathing about it! The reason I quenstioned it so soon was that I DID receive an email straight away, but without a key. I therefore wondered if a mistake had been made. I see NOTHING wrong with that.
  13. Hello Just purchased EFB and received an order confirmation, but no registration key. Was rather hoping this would be received in the email as my evaluation copy has expired and I'm half way through my flight plan. How long will this take please? Thanks - great addon!
  14. The best I can make of that is, take the third left after the lights

  16. Eeeek! Yup, FSX! I've just had the one the other poster had too. The 'Too many Requests' one. What a bummer! All the flight was good, then BAM! on final approach into SFO Don't ya just hate it when that happens. Makes me feel the whole flight is wasted, though it's not really I suppose. Can't remember where the event log is - will google it and get back to you. ta!
  17. Hi Guys I was just nearing the end of a STAR when I got the following error in Data Provider, and then FSX crashed to desktop 16:37:56 Warning - DefWndProc:Exception from HRESULT: 0xC000014B Any idea what may have caused this?
  18. Thanks guys. Very informative info - thanks Travis. Shows what I know eh.... "Aivlasoft paidup customer". I thought you WERE Aivlasoft One more question if I may please... Whilst in hospital, I will (i think) be able to use my laptop. Is there a way of 'fooling' EFB into thinking FSX is installed? This old thing wouldn't even consider acpting the real install.
  19. Thank you. For some reason, I just couldn't see past a certain point. Got it now though =================== I was saddened to miss the iFly discound by a couple of days, but eventually decided i'd probably get this (currently still on demo). However, I'll be going into hospital in about 3 weeks for major surgery, and won't be simming for some time after - sadly, probably months, not weeks I'm going to work on the assumption it's probably better for me to wait and see if v2 is out by then. I'd be sick if I only got 4/5 days from v1 before v2 release. Although it is rather expensive in my opinion, it is also a VERY polished and professional product. I shall look forward to being a 'paid-up' user in the future. Ta!
  20. I am reading the manual, but i'm confused I don't understand how and when I get access to the SID/STAR 'overview' menu options? Thanks
  21. Is it possible to stop the moving map from centering on the aircraft? I have several FS Planners that allow this, and it makes having a quick 'look around' possible without having to disconnect the aircraft data.
  22. Sometimes, it's about 'not being able to see the woods for the trees'. But, sometimes it's about just being plain stupid and half blind Thank you sir - and sorry
