  1. Hi, I tried to cleanup my O'Hare runways and ran into the following error (see screenshot) https://www.flickr.com/photos/141330124@N05/shares/Uh8P9c What exactly does it mean? Thanks for help
  2. Urs, You are right - runway 33 is closed for landing and NO ILS frquency in Navigraph. I set rwy 33 to nil in the runway.txt. Just was strange, that I could select the approach. Fixed now! Is there a way to remove waypoints from SID's and STAR's in the EFB? The Pmdg FMC does allow you to remove waypoints in SID's and STAR's.
  3. Hi, I think I am getting closer to the O'Hare runway mystery, but still have an issue: I can select runway 33 for the Approach procedure, however the runway is not available (grayed out) for the Approach (see screenshots). Why?? Also there are no runway exceptions from the data provider. https://www.flickr.com/photos/141330124@N05/shares/JK2527 Any help is appreciated
  4. Hi, Here are some screenshots of the FSDT airport map, the FSX airport data and the exception report from the EFB data provider. Hopefully someone can decipher this runways mess at O'Hare https://www.flickr.com/photos/141330124@N05/shares/583p5h Thanks for help
  5. Hi, Has anyone experience flying into KORD with FSDT payware airport and the Aivlasoft EFB? I am struggling with the runway text file to have 2 north/sout runways available. Here is my runway asignment test file correction for ORD: KORD 10 10C KORD 28 28C KORD 09L 10L KORD 27R 28R KORD 09R 10R KORD 27L 28L KORD 14L 15 KORD 32R 33 KORD 14R nil KORD 32L nil KORD 04L nil KORD 22R nil KORD 04R nil KORD 22L nil Would be great if somebody has a working version available. Thanks for help
  6. Hi, I received this error after I did the following: 1. loaded flight from Munich to London 2. started the EFB 3. Flightsimulator crashed What does the error mean? What should I be looking for? https://www.flickr.com/photos/141330124@N05/shares/13439v Thanks for help
  7. URS, I checked with a PMDG a/c (AIRAC-1610) and it shows NO procedures available for runways 6 / 24??? Even though in SkyVector it shows runway 06 to be a CAT II / III runway. Only procedures available for 11 / 29. I think I scrap this flight and go to CYUL (Montreal, Trudeau). Thanks for help
  8. Hi Urs, As I mentioned in my first post "there are NO runway exceptions" listed on the data provider screen; see attached screenshot: https://www.flickr.com/photos/141330124@N05/shares/34sj54 So do I still have to correct the runway file? Thanks
  9. Urs, Thanks for reply. I will post the problem on the AVSIM forum and see if someone else ran into the same situation. Thanks
  10. Hi, I am enroute from Reykjavik to Montreal, trying to set-up the arrival and approach. I checked in FSX-SE and there is NO ILS frequency for runway 11 / 29 listed, so I have to use rwy 6 /24. The display on the approach shows: Wind from 135 degr. favors rwy(s) 6 /11. However, runway 6 is "grayed" out and I can not select it. There are NO runway exceptions displayed on the data provider for Montreal. Basically my question is: What scenario(s) makes EFB "gray out" runways? Here is a screenshot of the EFB display unit: https://www.flickr.com/photos/141330124@N05/shares/pZ5h5q Thanks for help
  11. Urs, I am back again. Can you at least comment on the "coincidence / conspiracy" theory that the crash happens only when either the EFB is running and a "direct to" command is executed, or when the command is executed and the EFB is started 20 minutes later. Both instances same result: crash of FSX! Thanks
  12. It's, Any comments, suggestions or other words of advice would be appreciated Thanks
  13. Anybody out there???? I will be gone for a few days
  14. Urs, Just to prove my point I did 2 more test: 1. Load AeroSim B787; load route through FSX flight planner; take off from rwy 01 in BIRK; climb out, circle the airport (erroneous point); climb to 7000'; "execute a direct to" command; pause simulator; start the EFB data provider and almost immediately the simulator crashed, didn't even have time to start the display unit which is running on second PC. 2. Restart PC; load AeroSim B787; load route through FSX flight planner; take off from rwy 01 in BIRK; circle the airport (erroneous point); climb to 7000'; "execute a direct to" command; climb to cruise altitude of 42000' (approx. 30 min into the flight); pause the simulator, start the EFB data provider and immediately the simulator crashed. I agree it has something to do with this aircraft, however the aircraft performs normal if the data provider is NOT running! Also it ONLY crashes if I use the "direct to" command. I don't know how to work around this problem, since it is a important command! Is there a program I could run to trap the problem when it occurs? Thanks for help
  15. Urs, I did a lot of reading on this exception. However, all of the occurrences could NOT pin down exactly what "procedure / running add on or other items" caused the exception error. As I wrote in my posts, I can precisely re-create the error, by having EFB running, and applying the "direct to" command on the AeroSim B787. With EFB NOT running and all other conditions identical, the error does NOT occur. It is also not only inflight but also on the ground, when I use the "direct to" command. So, if the error does NOT occur with EFB NOT running, I would assume that EFB causes something to make the error occur! Anything else I could try to help resolve/circumvent this problem? Thanks
  16. Hi, One more test: PMDG B777-200: EFB running, route loaded; deleted the first erroneous way point, take off from BIRK rwy 01, did some direct to - absolutely NO CRASH at anytime! What is going on????????? Thanks for help
  17. Hi, I did the test: Of course the a/c circled the runway (erroneous way point) however, the simulator did NOT crash with EFB started. At about 7000' I did a "direct to"; selected a way point and up-selected it to LSK1L. Immediately the simulator crashed. So it seems to me that any mods to the route with EFB started or being started after the modification causes the simulator to crash. Any help would be appreciated
  18. Hi, I did another test: Started FSX-SE, selected the AeroSim B787 on rwy 01 in BIRK (Reykjavik), loaded the route via FSX flight planner, deleted the 1st erroneous way point by upselecting the 2nd way point. The simulator did NOT crash. I took off and at approx. 7000' paused the simulator, started EFB and almost immediately the simulator crashed. This is the display aof the data provider: https://www.flickr.com/photos/141330124@N05/shares/8gjn8e I will do another test: EFB started, route loaded, NO modification ion the CDU regarding the 1st erroneous way point. Will reply back since I have to reboot the PC Thanks
  19. Hi, I have a major problem with crashing of my simulator. Here is what's happening: I download a route to a AeroSim B787 via the FS flight planner. Several times now when I downloaded a route a erroneous 1st way point was added and shows up on the a/c CDU. Next I select the 2nd way point and up select it to LSK1L and execute. Here is the strange thing: With the EFB running the simulator crashes almost immediately. With the EFB NOT running the simulator does NOT crash. I have attached a link to screenshots that show the route, SID, CDU and the description of the crash from the EFB data provider Thanks for help -this is an important function since it is used for -direct to- https://www.flickr.com/photos/141330124@N05/shares/1XK17s https://www.flickr.com/photos/141330124@N05/shares/0xU6s3
  20. Urs, I just updated the AIRAC cycle to 1610 Rev1 and the same identical SID (BAKA2A) in LEPA showed the second waypoint at 79 degrees and 10,807.0 nm. Q: Where is the SID data coming from? Thanks
  21. Urs, Thanks for prompt reply. I didn't notice the second waypoint is 10,807nm from the 1st. This might be the problem. So I generated the same route again and again the second waypoint is 10,807 nm from the first. Is it possible that this is a mistake in navigraphs database? Could you attach the SID data from 1608 cycle in a post, so I can see the difference? Also, if the route is saved as a GPS flight plan, I assume there is no reason that the route can't be loaded into a Microsoft Aircraft (xxx.pln file).
  22. Hi, I thought the problem with saved flight plans in FSX was solved until I ran into this problem: I created a flight (Route Finder w/o SID & STAR) from Palma de Mallorca to Zurich and added the SID for runway 24R as shown on the screenshot. I also added the STAR on the other end, but no approach. I loaded the route from MS flight planner and the route showed up on ND as seen in the screenshot. I don't know if the actual procedure (SID) needs to be in magenta (part of the route) in order to show up in FSX? https://www.flickr.com/photos/141330124@N05/shares/FubF14 Am I doing something wrong or is FSX just not capable to accept the SID and STAR procedures? Thanks for help
  23. Hi Urs, The route was originally created in SimBrief and then downloaded. Once I imported it into EFB I added a SID and STAR, both eliminated the enroute portion. Maybe SimBrief already added the SID and STAR. This problem has not occurred again. The RouteFinder message seems indeed a "too many request...." message, since I just now tried it again and it worked.
  24. Sorry forgot to attach the screenshot of EFB https://flic.kr/p/M3qo7r
  25. Hi, I ran across an error today while trying to generate a route on Route Finder: COULD NOT READ ROUTE FROM ROUTE FINDER DUE TO THE FOLLOWING ERROR: SYSTEM ARGUMENT NULL EXCEPTION: VALUE CANNOT BE Also since a few days Route Finder tells me that: Too Many Requests At Once On The Server This will occur anytime I try to generate a route. Any thoughts??? Thanks for help
