    Of course, I can. I've done this instructions:

    Go to the download link on the avilasoft hp to download the Vatsim Data files. Then extract those files to C:\Users\[Name]\Documents\Aivlasoft\EFB\UserData\Online\Vatsim. Now load up your DisplayUnit and in Settings under the Online tab, point the "Vatsim boundries file" to the fir.dat file and the "VATSIM definitions file" to the servinfo.dat

    Now, when you setup a flight in Aivlasoft, under the Aircraft you select there will be an "Vatsim Online" thing or something like that, click on the "Check" button and click start, it will load up the Vatsim controllers and whatnot. Then when you are flying it will automatically update and may advise you to switch frequencies or on the map, you can view the other traffic by clicking on the "TFC" button on the Menu when you are in the Progress page.
     

     

    Now I am located at EGCN, London Control (LON_W_CTR) is online and it seems, that he is responsible for me. But he is'nt. If i look via vattastic, I see the differences of the "sector files" (I hope I have described it fairly clearly., my english is not the best ;).

    Hello, 

     

    when I'm flying online on VATSIM, EFB doesn't show the right sectors? For example: I fly from LDDU to EDDP. On start, ADR_CTR is my controller (and he is online), but when I look on my EFB-Screen, there is no active controller shown. Maybe the files fir.dat and/or servinfo.dat (from your download-section, i.e. fir.dat date = 2013-05-02) is outdated? 

     

    where can I download new sector-files?

    since today I can't start aivlasoft anymore.

     

    I use v1.6.15.15941 with AIRAC 1803. If i start the DataProvider, always will be shown this exception message:

    SID/STAR on EGCC not available

    Sorry, Urs, I used this function, but I don't find the solution ;-( 

     

    What have I done? 

     

    1. Installed EGCC 

    2. Modified the runways.txt (as described above) 

    3. airport-cache cleared into the display unit

    4. restarted display unit and data provider

     

    What's happend? 

     

    - if I will fly from EGCC to somewhere else: SID on EGCC not available 

    - if I will fly to EGCC from somewhere else: STAR on EGCC is available, but no ILS/RNAV-Approach

     

    ... which solution is correct, if I use the search-function correctly?

    Mega Airport Rom (LIRF), missing new Rwy 16C/34C

    Hello,

     

    I have the Add-On "Mega Airport Rome" with the new Runway 16C/34C. 

     

    Now I know to update the runways.txt, but I don't see the new Runway into the DU. There is now warning-message, but also now runway. In DU I see the old Taxyway "D", where now is placed the runway 16C/34C.

     

    How can I fix this correct into the runways.txt? 

     

    Maybe it's a good idea to start a topic into "FAQ" for the correct update of runways.txt for each new AddOn?

    EFB disconnecting every few minutes

    Hello Urs,

     

    and what is the solution? I have the same problem in a network-connection.  If I run the DU on the flying PC, it is stable. I use a wireless connection, but the wlan is also stable. So the only solution is to bring EFB back to the Sim-PC? 

     

    I do not have any problems with the disconnection, when the DU will get into the Progress-Windows, but after the disconnect I have to press the Progress-Button. So one workaround is, that the DU will show the Progress-Screen after a disconnection. Is this possible?

    Default Verzeichnisse nach Fehlermeldung der DU

    Guten Mittag, 

     

    wieso wird hier eigentlich nur in englisch geschrieben? ;-)

     

    Egal: folgendes "Problem": wenn die DU sich mal nicht mit dem Host connecten kann, verliert diese plötzlich alle vorher eingestellten "Pfade", zumindest, wenn vorher die Fehlermeldung "DataProvider folder doesn't exist, or is not available" angezeigt wird. 

     

    Kann man die Pfade irgendwo fix einstellen, dass sich nichts mehr ändert oder auf "Default" geändert wird? Das kommt bei mir immer dann vor, wenn ab und zu sich das Netzwerk aufhängt (z.B. WLAN nicht verfügbar ist) und die verwendeten Netzwerklaufpfade temporär nicht verfügbar sind.

    Reinstallation failed

    Hello Community,

     

    because I switched from FSX to FSX-Steam, I deinstalled the EFB DataProvider (this component was running on my "fliying-pc". 

     

    Because some folders are not removed from the system, I removed them manually. 

     

    Now, the FSX-Steam is on my computer (and the FSX is removed from it), I can't install the DataProvider: on the menu "Select components to install" i can't activate the "DataProvider", I only can install the AIRAC cyles and the DisplayUnit.

     

    What can I do? Deleting all registry-entrys? 

     

    I use Windows 10.
