  1. We're very sorry that EFB is not working for all users on Windows 10, and we have been collecting as much information as we can on what the issue(s) could be.

As he's stated, Urs has been running EFB on a clean install of Windows 10.  So it can work.  I however have upgraded my former Windows 7 "work PC" to Windows 10, and I have been able to install EFB and connect to my "sim PC" (which will stay on Windows 7 for the meantime).  No fuss, no muss.

My EFB installation was from a download off the site - not a "special" build at all.

The first tack that we'd like to take is to ask if users with the problem have the .Net Framework 3.5 enabled on their Windows 10 PCs.

If there are users who have 3.5 active and still have problems, then we will need to dig further....

no I don't and the reason appears to me that got framework 4.0 is in operation not 3.5

  2. PLEASE RE-READ...

    Further more:

    I don't have

    AirbusPFD.ttf

    AirbusPFD2.ttf

    What I had was CDU.ttf and CDU_WXR.TTF

removing those fixed the issue, DU is now running:

    Hope this helps

I removed all of the Airbus fonts from Win10 pro 64 bit UPGRADE

    nWGNmv6.jpg

& backed them up to a folder outside of "Fonts," then rebooted-same problem…

UPDATE: AirbusPFD2.ttf was NOT deleted...it was "in use" and could not be deleted...the fix for me was

    YAYYYYYYYY...No longer befuddled...EXCEPT...

    1. "How did Windows 10 upgrade allow this to happen?"

Quick and dirty answer… Windows 10 has made us all beta testers and the "upgrade" allowed the existing fonts to fall through the cracks.... But why didn't this problem with the EFB DU not show up in Windows7, from which I upgraded?

    2. Were The Airbus fonts really the culprits?

Quick and dirty answer… there are both affirmative & negative answers out there, but it seems to me that The Aerosoft Airbus fonts bear further examination. I KNOW...deleting the fonts...especially the one above...FIXED not only the EFB, but Firefox, and Probably my other browsers, and other apps as well.

    3. I want to use my EFB....The use of my Airbus is secondary, but I am not going to reinstall my Airbuses until there is an update from Aerosoft to find out....i'll leave that to some of you more ambitious guys and gals.

4.I am pretty damn certain that this vindicates the Aivasoft crew from any culpability. This is a Windows 10 (Upgrade?)system problem.

    Cheers,

  3. Hi

I have been using EFB for a few years with fsx and now p3d v2.5 and am pleased with it.

I have the data provider and p3d on one computer and the display unit on another.

I use Vroute to download a fplan into p3d. Then I find it in the display unit: press Route setup/ Select/ Saved Routes/ Lockheed Martin Prepar3d.

This used to open my p3d saved routes in my main computer.

I don't know what happened but now when I open the same path to p3d routes it gives me this file:

Aivlasoft/ EFB/ Userdata/ Routes, which is a folder in the Display unit computer.

There seems to be a network problem here.

Can anyone help me correct this please?

    Thanks

    Paul Burley

Yup!... something screwy with Aivlasoft EFB 1.65 Running Win10 on LAN connected remote and flying machine.

I have Aivlasoft 1.65 Disolay unit on my LAN connected Laptop, CHASLAP10 and DataProvider, on my Flying machine CHASMAIN10.

    9HXbNWx.jpg

After setting up my display unit via Network>M:>users>NewChas>AppData>Local>Aivlasoft, etc, etc,by actually clicking on the choices below like this 8faysrK.jpg

Three times in a row...and ...I get this

    o8iMlTM.jpg

An immediate force to "Choose Plane" screen, with the wrong Pilot name "Chas" instead of "NewChas",as enumerated in the folder setup tab. I've listed ALL the user files via NewChas...the %username% on the DataProvider PC....

So, in "Choose plane" which SHOULD be looking at my DataProvider "Airplane Path"..it is obviously NOT.

I have no way to click OK to save the setup....the display Unit closes...Remote choices never recorded...

I have to start over...launching Display unit...and nothing in "Folders Tab" is recorded...

"Chas" is the user on the remote Display Unitas the pilot.. Instead what should be "NewChas" ...as the specified user in the folder setup tab.

    Please advise.

    Thanks,

    Chas

  4. howdee all!

I have a similar problem BUT the "write procedures" checkbox box is greyed out, and I am not able to save procedures. As a result, the only thing that shows up in the Aerosoft flightplan is departing and arriving airports.

Note, that I am flying the new A319 and not the extended version. The path I save to is:

    M:\Users\Chas\Documents\Aerosoft\Airbus\FlightPlans

    The plugin path is:

    M:\ProgramFiles(x86)\AivlaSoft\EFB\plugins\AivlaSoft.FlightPlanHandlers.AAXE.dll

which shows the same version number and time/date info as yours does. As a precaution, I downloaded the latest update to 1.5.1, even though that is what I am running.

    The update made no difference.

...any information that you can provide would be greatly appreciated!

thanks in advance for your speedy reply,

    Regards,

    Chas

  5. Mindstar, the closest thing to a real 530 GNS is totally incompatible with Aivlasoft ...in that Aivlasoft will cause P3D, IF THE PLANE IS LOADED WITH Mindstar 530/430 GNSs, to crash if a flight plan is activated through the Aivlasoft EFB, OR, in fairness, P3D's own built-in flight Plan.

I suspect FSx will Crash as well under the same circumstances. I would love to be shown The error of my Ways.

    ----------~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~-----------

On the FStramp front, there is a very cool feature which allows ad-hoc holds as in real world ATC holds, on any fix in the sky. The feature asks for the same info that a ATC would provide, namely, fix name, vector to the fix, right or left turn and the approach to the fix. FsTramp then flies the hold for you as an emendation or appendation an existing flightplan.

Is there going to be any similar feature in able Aivlasoft EFB?

On the positive note, Flight 1's SUPER-COOL GTN 750/650 for either FSX or P3D although at a at almost a $20 premium for the latter for identical functionality, brings FSX/P3d v2.x navigation simulation into the new millennium!

Go Figure ... When the programmatic load of in kilobytes indicates that 99% of the program is Garmin's code visa vis their GTN Trainer Light(1040 MB compressed), and less than 1% is flight 1's code

    (flight 1 file-size 2.098+.796+.866 MB) including installer=(2.098+.796+.866+4.623)/1040=0.00806057692.))

    or less than 1%))

None the less,Flight 1's GTN 750/650 for either FSX or P3D, work swimmingly well with the Aivlasoft EFB!

I have to say on Flight 1's behalf, not only is their GTN 99% identical to the real GTN 750/650(guess why), it doesn't drag your frame rate down even with multiple iterations of either (sold separately BTW)or both gauges.

Now here is where the Aivlasoft EFB comes in.

By right clicking on the simulated memory card on the GTN 750, you can instantly swap to the built-in flight Sim flight plan which of course the Aivlasoft EFB can generate, or a completely DIFFERENT flightplan which you have built AND saved on the GTN series!

    How cool is that?

Thank you Flight 1 for finding the hooks into Garmin's code, and thank you Garmin for the superb trainer!

Kudos not to only Flight 1's native support and liberal refund policy but the help through their sterling forum members, Bert Pieke , Tigerclaw and Tiberiu to name only three, is nothing short of outstanding, and I would go back to Flight 1 products in a heartbeat because of that!!!

Regards to all who read this. I try not to fly without my Aivlasoft EFB! Hope y'all find this query/info useful.

    Chas
