Thanks indeed gentlemen for your forbearing answers - considering my frustrated state of mind! Your information about that EFB first of all is intended for IFR route planning also clearly explains why I find this application so particular good for exactly that purpose and not for VFR flying. - The exact other way around for FSCommander! However, it sounds indeed promising that you plane to bring in some VFR friendly facilities by the upcoming version 2! Being registered here in this support forum, I hope I'll be automatically notified when version 2 arrives, then?! Cheers, Morten

Clutter..? Well FSCommander manage that perfectly without clutter - and that is, in only ONE chart mode! You just zoom in! I hate FSCommander for other reasons and I am overall satisfied with EFB, but I simply can't live with the fact that EFB doesn't do the job here. It's simply a nightmare flying VFR with EFB. So please don't force me back to FSCommander! Morten

I must somehow have done something to the settings...? I mean it can't be true that you're not able to see any number labels for the runways when the chart is in approach mode.. When flying VFR it's is impossible for me to see which runway to land on. I'm only able to bring up the vectors to the runways - but the vectors themself fill up the whole map and hide all the runways! How do I bring up appropriate runway labels during approach, similar to those in the ground map mode.?? Cheers, Morten

Ahhhh..okay! Thanks indeed Jack! I have all along noticed that these folder were present on the client PC2 - however by reading the manual again I now realize that it's only the PROVIDER DATA FOLDER and the FSX FLIGHT PLANS FOLDER that has to be linked to the server PC1 - The rest of the folders should just be linked to the local PC2, then OK, so now I'm actually able to try out this thing! Hmmm...rather frustrating not getting any support here. I am very interested in this appplication, but so far I haven't been able to try it! I now did a uninstall and made a new reinstall of the Dataprovider on my server machine. Still the same issue! The Dataprovider installer still doesn't create the nescarry folders! Morten

Eager to get started with this needed app, I just installed everything and the SP5 update on top of it all - exactly as explained in the fine manual. I'm running the app with a remote on my second machine in network, that is: 1. Win7 64 bit - Server with installed FSX - EFB Dataprovider 2. Win XP 32 bit - Remote/Client - Display Unit The connection runs perfect. But on my machine 1 with FSX installed esential EFB folders are missing! - general folders are present, but these folders are missing: C:\Users\Morten\Documents\AivlaSoft\EFB\UserData\Aircrafts C:\Users\Morten\Documents\AivlaSoft\EFB\UserData\Library C:\Users\Morten\Documents\AivlaSoft\EFB\UserData\FlightLogs C:\Users\Morten\Documents\AivlaSoft\EFB\UserData\Routes What the heck is happening?
