Hi, Had to do a clean install of Windows 11. I'm running FSX. My flight simulator X flight plans are now in my one drive folder. The display unit won't connect to the server, I uninstalled, restarted and did a clean install of both. No luck!!! Ed

Hi, I had to reset my PC with the client on it, I now can't seem to connect the PC with the server to the client PC. I re installed both the server and client software all are running in administrator mode, they were running properly before the reset of the PC with the client program on it. I'm wondering if it's a firewall issue. Client PC is using McAfee internet security and server PC is running Eset Internet Security,, all naming conventions are correct. I've tried using both the server's name or IP address, still no connection !! Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, Ed Kammerman

Hi, I've downloaded the 1.65 zip file and I get error messages telling me the file is corrupt. I have tried 3 times with different downloads and get the same error message. Help would be appreciated.

Hi, I went to update my Runways.txt file for KORD. I thought I did it properly following the instructions in the manual, including clearing the airport cache under the misc. tab in the display unit. I was doing a flight from KPAE to KORD and upon arrival had no approaches for KORD. The fix is probably something simple but for some reason it eludes me.

Hi, I did find a solution. Since the client PC didn't see the host PC using my connection software, in EFB I used the network connection and simply copied the Aivlasoft folder and my flight plan folder to the host PC's users\default folder. Now I'm connected, the only thing so far is I'll have to copy any new flight plans to the default folder. Ed

Hi, Sorry Urs, what I meant to say was you didn't see a solution. I use a program called Mionet which allows me to easily network multiple PCs. This program assigns drive letters to different PCs. I'm going to try a couple of other things and see if they work. Ed

Hi, I've had EFB for some time now. After the initial teething pains it had been working quit well. However a couple of weeks ago the display unit couldn't find the provider. I did a complete uninstall including going through the registry and removing any entries pertaining to the provider and display units on the host and client PC's. Then I ran both a Norton and Malwarebytes scan, re installed the provider and display units, I launched the provider let it initialize then launched the display unit. I was able to set up the connections between both. Then I shut down the display unit and then provider. Upon launching them again in proper order the display couldn't find the provider. Both PC's see each other but when I try to set up the connection in the display unit it didn't see the provider unit. But when I test for connection with the host it says OK. I've been in contact with Urs but he can't see what the problem is. Ed

Hi Urs, I finally found the culprit causing my license file issue. There's a little temp file cleanup utility called ATF which seemed to think that not only my license file was an unnecessary file but also some file for EFB on my display unit PC. I've removed it and that seems to have resolved the problem. Thanks as always for your assistance. Ed

Hi, Within the past couple of weeks I've had to reactivate my EFB 3 times. I have no trouble with the actual activation but it dosen't seem to retain the activation. This starting happening after replacing my hard drive. I also have to uninstall and re install the data provider and display units. I don't use Windows firewall I use Norton IS 2012 and EFB has permission. Ed

Switching hubs back didn't work. Back to square one I'm reattaching the logs in case you didn't get them. I'm trying to upload the log files, but keep getting a message "the extension .txt" not allowed. BTW I've re installed both PU and DP along wit Norton IS because I was having issues there too. Both PU and DP have permission in the firewall section.

Hi, Ever since the latest update I've been having problems with my EFB. 1 After loading the provider and making sure it connected to FSX, I would launch the display unit. After a few seconds I'd hear a series of beeps and on the provider display would be a series of red dots next to error messages, but then everything worked, I made sure I updated both provider and display. 2 I went over to a wired network as suggested, but all of a sudden last night I couldn't connect to the DU. The only recent changes I've made was to switch out hubs and the updates. Both PC's see each other fine. The first item occurred after the latest update, the second after the hub switch. I'm going to switch hubs again and see what happens. Everything worked fine prior to this. Logs attached

Hi Jack, If you're using Radar Contact you can use the standard FS save key which is the semi colon. There's a couple of good posts at Avsim's RC forum and also a section in the RC manual. When you want to resume your flight go to any airport and gate, start your weather program, launch EFB , then RC, in the upper right pane there's a button to launch previously saved RCD's . When you do press that button it will load your saved flight. In EFB display press track aircraft button (correct me if I'm wrong Urs) on your left and it will pick up and display your flight plan. With FMC's you may have to reload your FP, just start with your next waypoint. This may work without RC I'm not sure. BTW I save my flights by airline, flight# and date. Hope this helps. Ed

Hey Travis, Hope you're feeling better Test flight went OK in general, but I noticed when I resumed my flight Sunday I had no traffic at all either in FSX or EFB, until I landed at LAX. While I was taxiing to the gate there was nothing until I overshot my gate and was backing up and all of a sudden there was traffic from UT2. Who knows???. I'm having some issues with my Captain Sim aircraft. I'm about ready to do a complete uninstall and start fresh

Hey Travis, I actually see an airline. flight number and altitude, I only get tail numbers with GA A/C. As far as traffic appearing or not, I think it's been preety much since I installed UT2. it's interesting that it uses Simconnect Since I think I've had some issues with it. I did a reinstall, but I'm not sure if it took well because I've also had issues with Radar Contact. I'm in the midst of a test flight from KJFK to KLAX. So far so good with one exception. Yesterday The data provider closed down without any visible warning message. I'm including the log files for both DPU and display.I'm trying to add the log file. But it keeps telling me the extension .txt is not allowed
