  1. Travis, What was happening was that when I ping homepc from my laptop nothing happened and it timeout. After we talked and you suggested to disable IPv6 that's when I saw what was happening. I first tried to disable IPv6 from the internet protocol and that did nothing...samething. So digging a little more I found that I needed to disable IPv6 from the network adapter, which requires three disable features or options. After truly disabling IPv6 I pinged homepc again, and that's when I saw it was resolving to the ISP's DNS, I was getting a 208... IP address back. So then I knew if I changed my other compute's name it should be ok...and it was. I enabled IPv6 back and all seems to be working fine now. Thanks again, Ray What fun
  2. Problem solved. The issue was the ISP had a computer name the same name that my DataProvider is named. 'homepc' Go figure. So changing my computer named solved the problem. This would have been fixed sooner, by changing the DisplayUnit's to use IP address (which I tried), but forgot to change the other parameters that go with it...like FSX location and datafiles. Glad I did not because then I would have had to give my computer a static IP address. So long story short gave my computer a name other than homepc...and problem fixed. Travis, thanks for all the help!! -Ray
  3. Hello, Well here's a new one. I have been using AivlaSoft for sometime with great success while on DSL through my router with an internet type of PPPoE. I have changed my ISP to Cable with an internet type of Obtain an IP auto. My home network has not changed, however I am not able to make a connection through TCP with the dataprovider any more. I have tested this theory by unplugging the cable moden, and I can connect to the dataprovider through TCPIP. Cable moden turned on, and I'm not able to connect. Somehow the cable provider is doing something to my network that prevents me from getting to my other computer. I have linksys router and have been playing with the settings all morning but with no luck. I have even tried port range forwarding, but that did not work. Any help will be great Thanks, Ray
  4. Travis, Sorry for the delay, but here's what I have been doing. I have unchecked the KATL airport created by imaginesim in FSX settings and completed a flight from South Carolina to ATL. This time no problems what so ever. Standard FSX airport for ATL gave me no FPS problems and EFB did not crash. From there I completed a South America tour down to Chile and back...EFB was flawless and system was on for a solid week. Again no problems. I have other after market airports that gave me no problems. So I'm convinced that it's a imaginesim software problem. Thanks, Ray
  5. Travis, I'm knocking my head against the wall as well, I have no idea why their products are such a dog on my system. Now, I do have two other products installed: - Ultimate Terrian USA - Traffic X - AES 2.07 But I have been running these for the last two years (not AES 2.07...maybe the last week) and no problems. Even after installing EFB...no problems until I installed KATL from ImagineSim. This really effects my system, crashes my system. My Spec's are ok: Vista 64 i7-860 8GB Ram (2) GTX 460 (overclocked edition) (3) Monitors 1280x1024 // 1650X? // 1280X1024 (basically I have two 17" monitors that provide my left and right view and one 22" wide that provides my forward view. So I was even thinking about going down to one monitor and SLI the Video Cards and see how ImagineSim perform...but nah I don't have the time nor energy to trouble shoot their products...I have other airports from other vendors that work great. So, I just chalk this up as a loss...and no more ImagineSim products for me. Now, if you guys want me to provide a log file I can do that to help maybe the next person...just let me know how to go about that. Great job guys on the product and support. Also, I have taken a look at the next release's IFR plates and they look great, hopefully they make it to prime time. -Ray
  6. ImagineSim KATL(FSX) and AivlaSoft installed: When I fly within 10nm of this airport AivlaSoft crashes When I try to taxi while at this airport AivlaSoft crashes My guess is that ImagineSim's product is the problem...since I seem to have problems with all their products. It's an unhandled error...hence the hard crash. Not sure which module. Just an FYI... -Ray
  7. Here's an update. After installing the latest airac cycle(1003) ... note I installed it only on the system that runs FSX, since I have the two system setup. I am now able to get a lot more ILS approach plates. KCTL approach plates work good now. HOWEVER, the problem is still with ImagineSim software. KTCL is still unflyable even after I purchased and installed two brand new GTX 460 1GB VC (video cards). FPS is in the low single digits. Travis, yes I am running FSX on all three monitors. Front monitor gives me the front view, left monitor gives me a view from the left and right does the same thing. This is accomplished by opening a new window in FSX and dragging unto the other monitors and resizing it and all that jazz. I am with you Travis on ImagineSim's downloads. I bought three airports KCTL, KATL, and KIAD. From simMarket (that's another issue I'll save for a rainy day) I am very disappointed in their product and will not purchased anything else from them. Glad your DVD was better, because these airports are unflyable at least on my system of three monitors. HOWEVER, there's another problem which I will create a new thread for. When running AivlaSoft and ImagineSim KATL...AivlaSoft crashes and causes FSX to crash. Only happens at this airport. Hmmm....ImagineSim what are you guys doing...not QA that's for sure. -Ray
  8. Hello, Urs, thanks for the update..I will tonight download and install airac cycle (1003), and yes I got the message box notifying me that the runways are not matching in cycle (0911), was just being lazy and did not modify the runways.txt file. Travis, Yes, I am using ImagineSim's KCTL airport, boy am I sorry I bought this product; FPS are really really bad...into the single digits. My computer spec are ok, not the top I can run FSX-SP2 AP at just about Max and all airports expect a few give me issues, but this one from ImagineSim is causing me grief. Specs: Intel i7-860 8 GB of Ram Vista 64 However, I do run three monitors using (2) Geforce GT8800 OC 512MB (I think this is my bottle neck), thinking about purchasing two Geforce GTX 460 this weekend. Unless of course you have a better recommendation... Anyway, got off track, I'll keep you posted, I will try it this evening. Thanks for the support guys, Ray
  9. Hi, Sorry about the name I read that after I hit the submit button. Anyway, the airport is KCLT (Charlotte, NC USA) approach 18L The AIRAC Cycle is the version installed cycle 0911 rev.1 Thanks for the help, -Ray
  10. Version is EFB 1.1.0 Issue: When Activate Approach my spot plane disappears and I do not see the approach plates. I see nothing but the wind indicator, the track line and the airport. No approach plate at all. Any idea as to why this happens...it happen in prior version, but not at every airport. Also, can you just pull up the approach plate without using the STAR or Fixes. This would be very helpful. Of course one can look at the airport information and get the landing aids. However, what you are missing is the Init Altitude, MDA, and the missed approach. I'm using FSX, SP2 and AP. Display is on a seperate computer via network Thanks for any help. -Realkewl
