Found the problem. Windows 10 had somehow set my documents to read only, appears to be a common 10 problem

Ok sorted, i booted into safe ode and the instaltion worked ok, thanks for your help

Any suggestions how I go about finding out wich program is responsible

Hi and thanks for your respnse, however I still have the same problem. My system is set as me as Administrator I ran the exe as Administrator I temperarily disable Bitdefender But still the same problem. The Data Provider icon appears on the screen but I have losttrace of my Licence key so cannot check if it works or not Regards Frank
