  1. I am sorry if this has been touched on before, I have searched and didn't find an answer.

I have just done a flight to EDDL and landed on 05L, EFB tells me its and ILS freq of 109.50, my DAsh had a hissy fit and when I checked the frequency it had in its database it was 110.95, I have confirmed that this is the correct one to be used. IS there a way to alter this in the EFB database? I am thinking there isn't, but I live in hope :)

    Cheers Rob

  2. Good morning Urs,

Thank you for your reply, so just to clarify your reply Are you saying that the Navigraph data is incorrect, or that I have selected the wrong procedure?

I only ask as I had and still have a issue with the EGKK SAM2M departure when used with EFB and Majestic Dash8. Navigraph said it was not an issue with there data, but rather with EFB and Majestic. As the departure was fine in a PMDG aircraft and Aerosoft Airbus.

I gave up in the end, but I just want to know if I should post a bug report on there website.

    Regards Rob

Update, I have just noticed on the Majestic forum that they found a bug in there FMS that caused my SAM2M departure issue. They will be patching that shortly. However it still doesn't answer this SID issue :(

  3. With the help of the guy at Naviad we have checked the .bgl files for both the standard FSX-SE and the ones that form part of the UK2000 scenery. All of which show the correct true heading of the runway and airfield, so I'm assuming that EFB might be doing something odd with its interpertation of this information

    Regards Rob

  4. Hi Ken

Thanks for telling me about the Navaid editor, not sure I'm brave enough for that lol.

It's all very odd, If UK2000 use the default .bgls I wonder after updating the navaids why it didn't alter the reading in EFB. I know FSX picked up that there was a scenery change as it did a update scan, I also ran the scenery for EFB as well just to be sure.

All very odd, I can't think I did anything wrong with the navaid update, it's straight forward with tick the ones you want and install.

    Rob

Update, I have emailed the person who does the Naviaid updates, he has confirmed his latest update and prior ones show correct magnetic heading for EGBB.

  5. So is it best for me to use the BGL ILS frequency when landing or the AIRAC thats being used?

I should also have said that I am using the UK2000 EGBB extreme V3 scenery if this makes a difference?  I have also disabled a EGBB.BGL in mytraffic 6, this made no difference. I have just sat on the runway and it is aligned to 147 degrees and the ILS reads right as well, do you think this just a typo in the .BGL file? maybe?

    Regards Rob

  6. Good day everyone,

I am hoping that someone can help me, I fly a lot in the UK and I have just realised that the approach for Rwy 15 at EGBB is not correct, I noticed that the ILS reads 149 degrees, this is not right as it is on 147 Degrees.

I have updated to the latest AIRAC 1601 and the listing is still the same, I have checked with other sources NATS, my Navigraph Charts  and they all say it should be 147 Degrees.

Can anyone tell me how to correct this on EFB please.

    Regards Rob

  7. Hi Urs,

I found out what was casuing my lack of Metar information.

I am running FSX-SE standalone on windows 10, but when I set the weather snapshot path in the options I put the path in the FSX-SE section, but I forgot that as SE is my only FSX I should have put the path in the section for FSX of the weather settings.

So its up and running now and it was my mistake when setting the options after my install!

Thanks for the great work on EFB, I find flying way more enjoyable now :)

    Many thanks

    Rob

  8. I was flying from EGNM to EDDF and wanted to check the Metar reports, EGNM was fine, but during my cruse I wanted check my destination Metar (EDDF).l. But when I checked it it said it wasn't available.

Can someone tell me if you need to be within a certain distance of the airfield to receive this info?

I'm using ASN, and I have set the path to the weather snapshot and that's working fine.

    Thanks for any feedback :)

    Cheers Rob

  9. Just to give Urs and Travis some feed back, I have been running 1.6.0 since its release and not had any issues in functionality or stability. I just installed 1.6.2, but it appears I have reached the end of my trial period.

But to conclude for me 1.6.x installed and functioned correctly, I am still waiting for the Aerosoft Airbus update so could not confirm if there fix had a knock on effect to EFB.

    Regards Rob

  10. Thank you Urs and Travis for updating this great piece of software.

Just to confirm that I have downloaded the file and installed it. It runs fine, I have not needed to update my upgraded win10 install with .net4, it was fine with my current versions.

I do have odd fonts, I know there is a fix out there for this, however I believe Aerosoft are close to a fix from there end, I will continue to test EFB and wait for Aerosoft to release their fix and see if it filters through to EFB as well.

Once again thank you for supporting all of your customers :)

    Rob
