Thanks for the reply...
So it would seem that vPilot does not give us any info with respect to the "Blue" traffic, only "Red" traffic

Sorry if this has been answered before, seached but could not find...
I have a question regarding the Red Aircraft Icons vs. Blue Aircraft Icons, whilst flying online... When you hover over the Red Icon, you are able to see the Origin and Destination of that flight.... This information is not available when hovering over the Blue Aircraft Icon, which would be handy as typically they are on the same airway as me, but I have to open VATSPY to check if they are going to the same destination as me, so I can plan for any delays in approach...
Is there a way to activation this information...

Hi Tariq,
The modification was done by Oskar (lonewulf47) who is the Admin at Aivlasoft... So I am sure he will see this post and ask you for the BGL file... I don't own OPLA so I am unable to attach this...

Hi Faisal,
Hope you are well and good, just reading this post as I am paid customer of SIM-ARC Islamabad International Airport.
Same using Aivlasoft efb v2 just needed your help about the same problem, I have downloaded these to files, after putting them to the relevant folders.
The new OPIS_ADEX_ADEfile needs to go in the scenery folder of Sim - Arc OPIS?
Do i have to run the database server after putting these to files in there relevant folders.
I appreciate your help in this query and soon will be able to use rwy 28R/10L.
Thank you for your help, will wait for your reply.
Tariq
Salaam Tariq,
Yes, the new OPIS_ADEX_ADE.BGL should go in the scenery folder of the OPIS addon airport... Rename the old (original) one to "OPIS_ADEX_ADE.OFF"...
Then place the "OPIS.BGL" in the "..\Documents\AivlaSoft\EFB2\Server\AFCAD" folder...
Then run the database server and use tab "update simulator", start scanning... and will be sorted...
Hope that helps,
Faisal

Cheers Oskar,
All is good in the world now, or atleast at OPIS... Stay safe my friend...

Hi Oskar,
Thank you for the response... Please find attached as requested the BGL as taken from the reference you mentioned... I agree the developer of the Airport Addon should get it right, classic case of "Wrong Info In, Wrong Info Out"...

Hi All,
Seem to be getting an error with the new update of FlyTampa's LOWW airport... When updating the database I get the following error...
"Could not get BGL data from file: 'G\Prepar3D v4\FlyTampa\Vienna\scenery\LOWW_DEICE_ADEP4_FLYTAMPA.bgl' Ex: Record-Id '0x00AB' not found"
Any idea what could be causing this... Tried Switching of the De-Icing trucks in the configurator, but then get the issue with the file that become active...

Hi,
I can confirm that the latest update from Rex works as it should... I am using Rex as the weather engine for EFB V2...
Thanks

Thank you...
In the meantime, I am converting their XML to JSON myself... and all seems to work OK... It seems that Rex is delayed with their update and I am eager to use the Rex weather engine... By the way, did I say thank for a geat piece of software, it is all really one needs, anything else is overkill... I have attached the result after conversion...
The other way is to build a converter into the next build, that looks at the path for Rex, if it sees a XML, then "convert", if json, "do nothing"... this way Aivlasoft is not hanging around for a third party to get their act together and affect the performance of Aivlasoft software...

Awesome... Surprised no one else has noticed this... looking forward to a reply...

Hi All,
Having issue with getting Rex Sky Force to work... First of all the "enable custom weather file export" creates a "metar_report.xml" file, not a "metar_report.json" file...
if you leave it as .xml, the the database creates a warning "REX Sky Force weather data file not found. Please verify the settings." So I changed the extension of the file to .json, restarted the server, and the warning goes away and server shows no errors, but the EFB Weather Information shows nothing...
Am I doing something wrong... I have set the path for Rex as decribed in another post <REX Istallation Folder>\Exports

X-Plane 11.50R3
in EFB v2 - Support forum
Posted
Hi All,
Hope you and your loved ones are staying safe...
So I decided to purchase X-plane, and am trying to use EFB V2 with it on VATSIM... I have some questions:
1. What are the blue aircraft traffic that seem to be infront of the actual aircraft traffic... They all seem to start with the prefix "ACXX" ...
2. EFB does not always seem to sync up with the movement of the aircraft on the ground...
I am coming from P3D, which runs on EFB with Zero problems...
Am I missing something?
