I downloaded the demo try before you buy package on advice of a very good friend.
When I installed the server and tried to access I got the "port 13" error warning so
I proceeded to create rules in my windows 10 defender firewall and still had no success.
My internet provider is Hughesnet Satellite Gen 5 with built in router. They insist that
port 13 is open but when I do all the external checks it is not and they tell there is no way
to port forward.
So I am stuck.
It seems that the problem is I do not have a static IP address therefore I cannot configure
the router to port forward port 13.
I have 2 questions.
1. Is there any way possible to access the demo without this port 13 problem
I am guessing that the answer to that is "no"
2. If I purchase the License does that require access to port 13 to activate and
continue to run the program.
If the answer to 2 is no port 13 access is necessary I am inclined to follow the advice
of my friend that has used your program for some time now and go ahead and purchase.
I await you answer and thank you for the help.

I have configured windows firewall to accept port 13 and contacted my wireless
router company and they said that in order to open a specific port I need the
following:
Port #
Protocol
IP Address
Not sure if this is any help but what I have done with windows firewall
still gives me the same result as before with not being able to
connect to a date-time server.

I downloaded and installed the EFB because from the description
I really like what I see however before I spend this kind of money
I would like to actually be able to use the software.
I followed the installation and set up guide and all went pretty
smooth filling in My name and email to request a Demo License.
However when I shut down the data provider then restarted I get
a constant error that says:
"Trying to verify demo license but could not reach any data server"
"Please make sure you computer is connected to the internet and that
port 13 is open on your firewall for out going traffic."
My fire wall is configured to allow this app to run and I have set
compatibility settings and admin rights for all users
I would appreciate a solution to this so that I might get a chance to
try what I think is a pretty nice software package before I purchase.

Database does not match error message
in EFB v2 - Support forum

Greetings,
For the last couple of days every time I close my flight sim (p3d v4.5)
aivlasoft is giving me this message.
"The currently selected database does not match the running simulator type!"
"It is highly recommended to load the matching database. Would you like to start the
DatabaseBuilder to select another database?"
Before starting the sim I have started the database builder and updated the sim several time
in the last several days and then stated the sim and upon shutdown I get this message
every time.
Not sure what I need to do but any suggestions would be appreciated.
