cubpilot
Everything seemed to be functioning properly but the plane icon was gray and I never could get the plane on the map. I restarted both the provider and display units (on separate PCs), connection between the two established, but still no plane. Any help appreciated. Btw...I have an earlier thread re. the many hours, and problems, I faced trying to get EFB up and running. As expected, the problem was not EFB but a router that was "too strict". Ten days ago I installed a new router and ALL the troubles went away. EFB connects with no delay, flight plans are a breeze, and the info available sure beats lugging all those charts and approach plates around. EFB gets my highest marks for value. aivlasoft
Neal, thanks for the kind words! Normally a greyed plane icon means that FSX is not running or in paused mode. Does that make any sense?
cubpilot
It was running and definitely not paused. No matter...just finished a flight from KSJE to KRNO and EFB was operating normally. I probably did something wrong yesterday. I really should never use the plane icon anyhow. In the "old days" ('50s-'60s) we didn't have goodies like GPS and lots of other nav aids were few and far apart.
