Dane
First let me say that I have never been disappointed with AivlaSoft EFB-2 I use it all the time and would not fly without it. Having said that I am just curious if any thought was ever given to incorporating either OpenStreetMap or the map source that SkyVector uses. Your current map source is very good but it would also be advantageous if when planning a route you could see ground terrain objects, etc as well as airspace designation areas. aivlasoft
Hi Dane, we have plans to integrate with OSM with the next major version (v3). However the features are not yet defined. It's still in experimenting stage.
MMB
Hi all, Perhaps OpenTopoMap is a better option... Mario
aivlasoft
Hi Mario, Thanks for the hint. it looks like OpenTopoMap is based on OpenStreetMap: The drawback with OSM is the sometimes very long delay in loading the map tiles. That's why we are still very cautious with it, especially because EFB is payware.
Dane
Urs, we have confidence in you and the team in whatever map source you choose. I am sure it will be as good as this EFB2 addon. I do hope that this Ver. 3 comes soon.
