2.1 XP11 No database synchronization

Recommended Posts

Hi, excuse my english.

Situation:

EFB updated to 2.1

Connected to XP11

Databases updated and selected.

Server running as admin

In the server side all seems run fine...

Client is in another computer..

Connection with the server OK

Master token sent and received

Filesync process started

And...now...the problem:

Server stucks Sending the airports.bin.zip

and Client tucks on "Synchronizing database files..."

After a certain period of time the server sent a "Timeout client" and the process repeats....

Any idea is appreciated!!! 😃

Cable. Both computers connected to same switch....no network failures, I use Mouse Without Borders to control the client and never disconnects.....

Seems related to XP database...I have P3DV4 installed, selecting his database the transfer works and client starts normally, selecting the XP database the transfers stuck.

In both cases the sim is closed.

No error in logfiles, only a client timeout....

but I don't understand why with the P3D database works well

I guess that the database in P3D is smaller than the database from X-Plane.

Timeout means that the Client doesn't reply to the Server within 5 seconds. This points either to a bottleneck of the network or maybe the overall performance of the Client is too low.

uninstalling/rebooting/installing changes nothing....

With the cliente installed locally the same XP database works really well. So, it's not a database problem

aivlasoft, thanks for your idea..you are right, the problem could be the client computer performance. When the filesync starts the harddisk led becomes crazy and the client mouse "freezes", so this can cause the fail..will try with another computer....

I had the same issue and this worked for me.

Find your XPUIPC.ini file. It should be in the Plugins folder. Open that file and look at the Server Address. Make sure it's the same as XP's address which you can find in the settings menu under NETWORK.

Hope this helps
