Hugo Antoine
Hi, I would like to connect my laptop on the efb client and for sure the efb server is started on my pc where P3d is running. In fact the efb map still freeze at LLBG. Thanks by advance
KiloJuliett
Hi Hugo (I assume, please state your real name according the forum rules) Did you correctly enter the servers name or IP in the client of your laptop to establish the connection? Have you followed the instructions in the user manual?

Did you see any warnings displayed ath the top right corner of the Client? Was the Simulator running at this time? A screenshot along with the respective logfiles would be EXTREMELY helpful! I'm sorry, we can't do anything with that little information. Please start up Server, Client and Simulator and thereafter create a "Support File" and post it in this thread, see here: https://forum.aivlasoft.com/topic/3046-how-to-create-a-support-file/ And as I said, a screenshot of the Client would also be extremely helpful. Hugo Antoine
There is the pic and just before I reinstall and the airport has changed it's now LSZH. I send send logfile via email. thanks
aivlasoft
Hugo, please stop sending the same file three times within the same hour. You're just flooding my inbox. From the logfile of the Server I can see that in the Server's TCP-settings, you have changed the IP-address from 'any' (0.0.0.0) to the Server's own address 192.168.0.12. This makes no sense because then the Server is only listening to connection attempts from its own address. You have to reset this to 'any'. There is nothing more that I can see in the logfile from the Server. Maybe you can create a support file from the Client too? And please send it as the original zip-file. Thanks. Hugo Antoine
Sorry because my email is not working sometimes. I change to any and it s still not working. I send to you the logfile of the client. Thanks by advance
aivlasoft
Thanks for the log file. On the Client side the given IP-address for the Server's location is wrong! In the logfile I can read --> Server's computer name (settings) is given as IP address = 192.168.0.15 But in the Server's logfile I can read --> IP address of this computer ('HUGO-PC') is 192.168.0.12 Solution: ======= 1) on the Client, open the "System-menu", then "Server-location" (see also the manual "5 EN Client.pdf", page 14. Enter either "HUGO-PC" or "192.168.0.12" as the Server's location, then press "OK". 2) on the Server, open the menu "System", then "Settings and more ...". Press "Settings" button, then "System" tab: TCP network, press "Change" and then enter "0.0.0.0", then press "OK". 3) Restart the Server, restart the Client. Hope this helps. aivlasoft
Thank you for the log files. I can see that the connection has been established and the Server was sending weather data to the Client. So far everything is OK. Nevertheless I can also see that some timeouts are also logged. That means that either the laptop's CPU is not powerful enough, or the network performance is not good enough. Maybe the firewall and/or AntiVirus program is blocking the traffic?
Hugo Antoine
I desactivate everything, firewall and antivirus concerning the traffic but nothing changed

Mr.Mario
I also cannot get the client running on my laptop to communicate with the PC where the server and simulator are installed. I am running windows 10 and p3d V4.3. I have done the things mentioned in this question area but still not working. It does work if I run it on the same PC but not remotely. It just hangs when it tries to connect with the IP address saying "waiting for server on computer". According to the the server log this is: " 2018-08-25 19:28:48.747 Debug : File = C:\Program Files (x86)\HiFi\AS_P3Dv4\AS_P3Dv4.exe " which is the wrong path! You should enter the path for the "current_wx_snapshot.txt" file. This is in a completely different location. Check your ActiveSky manual. This way you will nto get any weather output from ActiveSky. aivlasoft
Mr.Mario, according to the forum rules, please sign your posts with your real first name. Thanks. When supporting Client-Server connection issues, it would be extremely helpful if the log file from the Client and the Server are from the same time. Please start the EFB Server, then start the EFB Client. Now create a support-file from the Server and one from the Client. Then upload these two files to here. aivlasoft
@Hugo Antoine According to the manuals, you always have to run the EFB Server with administrator rights! ... and Client should also run with admin rights.
