anchit02
Hello, I'm using the trial version for EFB version 2 and I've come across a problem for WMKK scenery by A&A Scenery Developer. I'm using the 2015 version of the scenery which as KLIA2 added to the airport BGL. The airport layout was correctly displayed on EFB v1 as shown in the pictures I've attached. EFBv1 correctly showed KLIA2 terminal with RW15/33, but EFBv2 doesn't show the KLIA2 terminal and RW15/33. Anyway to correct this problem? I'm attached pictures of: 1) WMKK layout as shown by EFBv1; 2) WMKK layout as shown by EFBv2; 3) WMKK airport information page as shown by EFBv2; 4)WMKK scenery directory. Can anyone please help fix this issue for EFBv2? Its a little strange that it is working perfectly in version 1 but not in version 2. Please tell me what I'm doing wrong. Thanks in advance! KiloJuliett
Could be an issue of the scenery priorities. Because the old file still seems to be around. I don't know the scenery, but I could image the folder you showed is the old version. Did you a special setup in v1 to get the new ground layout there? When did you create the database for v1 the last time? Can you provide the servers log file (see FAQ)?
alpha117
It must be either your AFCAD or scenery order, as it is OK here
anchit02
Hey alpha117, thanks for checking. Can you please check the first picture i have put up of the scenery folder of wmkk and let me know if anything is missing. Also, what order of scenery for wmkk should i be using? There is 3, the Airport, tunnel and landclass. But the Airport is at the top, then its the tunnel and finally at the bottom is the landclass. Also, my EFBv2 is using the wmkk_adex_tic.bgl file for the scenery. Is yours is using the same file?
alpha117
Hi, It is the same AFCAD, so something is not correct your end. Can you open the AFCAD in ADE and check to make sure that ALL runways are 'open'? Another check is to place the Scenery at the very TOP of your scenery and rebuild the DB again and then check. Is this scenery on a networked drive?
anchit02
Sorry, i dont have ADE. I will try moving the stuff around to see if it helps. I’ll post back with updates
alpha117
OK, if not upload the AFCAD and I will have a look

And no, the scenery is not on a network drive. I'm accessing my FSX computer via my laptop by a mapped drive. I have the main FSX install folder shared on my personal LAN. EFBv2 Server is installed on the same PC and same drive as FSX on the FSX Machine. I'm also uploading my EFBv2 Database Log file if you could take a look at it. See ADE screenshot. Are you sure the BGL used in EFB v1 is identical?
anchit02
Yes, I'm sure as that is the only BGL for WMKK that I have installed. Please see the picture on my first post from EFBv1. It shows 3 runways. Is there anyway to check what BGL file EFBv1 is using when making its database?
KiloJuliett
I'm pretty sure it isnt' the only one. You may try to: search your entire sim folder for other bgl files with WMKK verify if you did any special settings in your v1 (I'm no a user of v1, so I don't know if there are similar options to use a different bgl for EFB only like in v2) temporarily deactivate the WMKK scenery entries and check the behaviour in FSX Move the 3 entries to the very top (check the scenery designers advice for the priority of the 3 parts, landclass is for sure the lowest, not sure about the other two), run your sim and do an update of the EFB database
anchit02
Thanks to all of you for taking the time to go through the files and help me solve this issue. I have figured out what the problem was and have managed to solve the issue. Now EFB v2 is showing the correct airport layout including KLIA2 and RW15/33. The issue was that the database of EFB v2 was using the incorrect BGL for the WMKK airport. I had 2 versions of WMKK in my addon scenery folder, one was the older version in a folder called KLIA, and the second was the newer version called WMKKv2_2015. After lonewolf47 pointed out that the BGL file i had uploaded only had 2 RWs, i double checked my scenery in FSX and found that the sim was showing all 3 RWs with the KLIA2 terminal. Then I went to the scenery library of FSX to check which directory it was using and found that it was using WMKKv2_2015 folder's WMKK_ADEX_TIC.bgl; reviewing my first post, I saw that EFBv2 was using the BGL from KLIA folder and not from WMKKv2_2015 folder. So I moved the older KLIA folder out of the FSX directory and rebuilt the database for EFBv2, and that solved the problem. Now all is good with the EFBv2 and the WMKK scenery. It is just a little surprising to me that EFBv2 database scan picked up a folder (KLIA folder) that was not even in the scenery.cfg as it wasn't added to FSX scenery library. Anyway, sorry for the long description to my problem, I hope it helps someone else down the road. If the admins want, you can delete this thread or mark it as closed or however it works. The issue is resolved for me! Thank you all again!
