Connection to server gets lost, and reconnecting is not possible

Recommended Posts

Hi Community,

i like to buy the efv v2. At the Moment i use the demo for testing. And i have the following issue:

I am using the Client in my Trekstor Windows Tablet. Ok it takes some time to start the app, but this is ok.

After about 5 min the connection to the server gets lost, and couldn't establish thereafter.

When using my Laptop this is not a Problem. But i like to use the Tab beacuse of the cool touchscreen desktop.

Best Regards

If it already takes "some time" to start the app, it could be performance issue. Also the messages seem pointing to such a root cause. If your tablet is not able to respond quickly enough, there will never be a stable connection.

Can you explain your current setup (machines you are running, how they are connected)? From the log I see two different clients trying to connect, and once one get accepted and then the other. But somehow, they both are disconnected again or at least try to re-connect. Also a weak WLAN connection could be a contributing factor.

Hi Mr. ATC

ok the Term some time was just because my laptop is like a racecar :-)

the whole startup until the UI comes up is about 20s. about 10 to 15 s he is looking for updates.

The Server is running on an i7 4790k 4x4ghz 16gb RAM. WLAN is provided from my fritzbox 7490. so the WLAN should be ok.

My Tablet is a Treksor Surftab W1 with an atom prozessor 1.83GHz and 2GB of RAM and connected via WLAN.

I will thry this afternoon to connect the tablet via USB Ethernet. Just to look if the WLAN is the problem or not.

The Server PC is connected via Ethernet.

I forgot to tell that there are 2 of the surftabs running the EFB Client. (Both with the same Issue) This causes the 2 IP Adresses. But it makes no difference if one or to tabs are trying to connect.

This is my setup.

Ciao Rico

BTW, posting just an excerpt of any log file is mostly not helpful because relevant information is missing for the person who is trying to find a trace of the cause.

Best in this situation would be to create a 'support file' from all the computers (Server and Clients). Then upload these files here or you also may send them to 'support@aivlasoft.com' if you prefer to not publish them here. Thanks.

Okay that makes sense, will do this in the afternoon, after work :-)

Ok. I tried with usb Ethernet Adapter. Worked well.

So i will try to find a driver update or have to look into the setting within the fritzbox. There should be something wrong. Because the distance between fritzbox and tablet is about 2m. This should really be ok. And i think the amount of data is not as big that the wlan connection breakes down.

Thx Rico

New Update.

I updated the client ans Server, and now the problem is gone. Tablet looses connection, when go into sleep mode and waked up again, but after reconnection, it works well.

Maybe there was something changed in the new version..

THX a lot
