Freezing with EFB2

Recommended Posts

Have there been any reports of the computer freezing up with V2?

As a longtime and current user of V1 I have not had any issues but since installing V2 there must be a conflict with something

as once I start loading Prepar3d V4 it freezes.

Order of loading is usually PFPX, Active Sky, EFB (1 or 2), Chaseplane and then Prepar3dV4

If after freezing I load the same programs but with V1 all runs okay

Any assistance appreciated as I want to move up to V2 permanently.

No.

Is the Server freezing, or the Client, or bot?

Is it a networked installation, or all on one computer?

Is your computer having enough memory?

Technically there is a difference between them. EFB v1 is using SimConnect.dll, whereas EFB v2 is using FSUIPC.

Have you updated to the latest FSUIPC, or better said, to the 'right' version of FSUIPC?

Interesting will be especially if only one of the EFB components (client, server) or any of them leads to the freeze.

Just make sure you have the latest FSUIPC version. Maybe try to run again this installer just to make sure everything is setup correctly for EFB to interact with it.

Did you have freezes of your computer on other occasions (not necessarily linked to flight sim programs)? A system freeze usually points to an issue in the core system like the operating system or even parts of the hardware.
