Aerosoft Airbus and SimpleCam

Due to the most recent experience of our customers, we can suggest the following items when creating views with SimpleCam for the Aerosoft Airbus A318, 319, 320 and 321:

1) Switch off the Airbus internal view system. To do so, go to the second/right MCDU, select OPTIONS, VIEWS, and select OFF.

2) Open the file "fsx.cfg" or "Prepar3d.cfg", which should be located in the folder:
FSX: C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX
P3D: C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3

... search for "WideViewAspect" and set it to "True"

3) Open the file "Cameras.cfg", which should be located in the same folder as above mentioned:
FSX: C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX
P3D: C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3

... search for [CameraDefinition:002], then set "InitialZoom" to a value of 0.7


If you wont like to change the value "WideViewAspect" and let it be as "False", then you should set the "InitialZoom" to a value of 0.4 of 0.5

All these items are necessary because SimConnect (which is used by SimpleCam) cannot handle individual zoom values and is always setting the initial zoom as described herein.
