Many thanks Manfred for all that input ... I completely overlooked the Navdata *.* believing Aivlasoft was getting its database from P3D. As I mentioned it picked up the Navaids for the airport OK and that helped me go further "off-track" !!! OK I'll follow your instructions and get it working ... Your help much appreciated. One of my self built airports that is fictional was not accepted by Aivlasoft although P3d 4.1 treats it normally like other airports for flight planning. Aivlasoft accepts the airport's navaids which made me wonder if there was something I needed to do to within AS in order to enable it to be used as a starting or terminating airport for flight planning. I've tried re-running the Data Provider with no change. Your thoughts appreciated, Ken

I suspect this is a simple fix but I'm having trouble with simplicity these days! I can't get the tracking icon to follow my flight. I have ticked the box to have this happen but I have to update its position manually along the route. Please steer me to the solution ... without its benefits the program is seriously degraded. Hello Oskar, Thanks for the reply. If you're not having any similar issues with ver 3.2 it must be a problem at my end. I'm using the correct keys to set up the camera but I've had a few problems with this P3d upgrade and SimpleCam may have been affected. The Ctrl + number has no effect whatsoever. I'll have to keep trying to find the problem but it's helpful to know that it isn't SC!!! Best, Ken

With the latest P3d upgrade I seem to have lost the ability to complete the assignment of the cameras. You can manipulate the camera to where you want it but the Ctrl plus Camera number setting doesn't work. The camera's originally installed work fine but you can't make any changes that are kept. I'm wondering if this is a simple fix ... or possibly something I've done wrong? Ken

Good Evening Urs, I didn't mean to bother you with the P3d choice setting on the configurator which appears to be required each time you open it as it's such a minor matter ... but the default is certainly FSX and possibly there's good reason for that to be the case. Thanks for the suggestion re the outside views ... I'll do some experimenting and if I come up with anything worthwhile I report it to the forum. I amended a camera that I called the "crows nest" which I placed on the outside of the top of the cockpit and used it with the Hat for 360 viewing of scenery, checking engines start, flaps, elevators, icing etc. and I found myself using it a lot. It certainly wouldn't appeal to the "hard core" simmers but on the Q400 I found it really helpful. But it is attached to a button which wouldn't be usable in SimpleCam. I really think you're on to something good with SimpleCam and who knows where you might take it Best, Ken

That's got it Urs ... one of my problems was that I expected the Cam icon to generate a "working" window after clicking on it ... I found out there's no window except in the cockpit! I am looking forward to using your program as I've been coding my own camera's which is a mountain of endless work unless you only fly one plane. If this goes well from your point of view I hope you plan to move out of the cockpit for some of the exterior views ... even if you stuck with the keypad 10 cameras and just mixed the in/out cameras to that total. One other small request would be to pin the sim choice after it's been chosen i.e. P3D remains set until reset. All the best and many thanks for the help. Ken

Hi Urs, Looks like I did a royal job of messing up a "Simple" cam installation! Your instruction to delete the v1,dlsc file worked fine and the key mask resolved as forecast. However, I was not able to get SimpleCam to load. At first I thought the Icon was faulty but it wasn't which was verified after I tried a direct click on the .exe and it remained dead also. I tried another re-install and found previous program files hanging around which I was think I was able to remove completely. After believing I was starting on a clean slate I did a final reinstall and everything went apparently without problem (including the key install) but I regret that I was still unable to get SimpleCam to open. Just to be sure I was doing everything right (the configurator had already loaded by itself) I chose P3d and made sure the FS was running. There was a "too quick" msg that appeared at bottom right corner right after the install ... it went too fast but I did catch something about a "right click" ... was that for me? OK I purchased the program and uninstalled the previous downloads and then re-installed SimleCam. I had hoped to be presented with the product key mask when I first opened the program but instead I got the same "verify" error. There must be some files that weren't uninstalled or something else jammed as I can't get to the box to insert my key. I'll have to hang on till I hear from you as I'm out of ideas. Ken

Firewall off, internet working and I don't know what a "time server" does ... but I can't get it working. As to opening ports that means mucking with the router ... Would it be easier to just buy the program and then see how it works or does that change anything? Best, Ken

What's the best advice for upgrading to 1.65 and continuing to use with FSX (where it's now being used) and also to include using with P3d. .... Is an uninstall/re-install necessary to use the software for both FSX and P3d v2 and hopefully v3 ... all of which I have loaded or are there "installer" problems or more to the point can it be happy serving three masters? My end goal is to get the P3d ver 3 up to speed with the 64 bit and I will likely retire FSX and P3d ver2.5 . However, if it needs one master I'll choose the P3d v3. I'm also using Win 10. Appreciate any thoughts, Ken

Is there a way to transfer your FMC flight plan from the Dash into EFB and/or vice versa? It would sure save a lot of typing! Ken
