  1. Vatsim flying is covered on page 30 of Installation and Configuration manual. Download the Vatsim.zip file. Then in Settings>Online indicate where the files are located. In Operations Manual, Section 10 page 2 covers how to connect online. On Route Setup page near center where it says Online Network select Check. Box will open. Select Use Online Data From Vatsim, then select start button. Once list of ATC is shown select close. You should show Vatsim data now, controllers online and ARTCC boundaries.
  2. Did you share these two folders? Folder #1) C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\AivlaSoft\EFB\AivlaSoft.Efb.DataProvider Folder #2) C:\Users\[username]\Documents\Flight Simulator X Files (Please replace [username] by your username on your computer) Then in settings of Display Unit detail the location of these files? After these two folders have been shared they must be selected from the DisplayUnit's settings dialog (Folders and Links tab): Folder #1 -> Provider data folder Folder #2 -> FSX Flightplans
  3. Could they be in time acceleration? 2x maybe?
  4. I continue to have this TCP port conflict. Not always but random. The port I'm using is 51747. It occasionally is used by a system process. I don't understand the port numbering well enough. Is it as simple as changing to 51748 if that one isn't being used? Any suggestions as to a better port to use? Thanks in advance. Jerry
  5. Thanks, that was it. Downloaded a program called TCP View and found ICloud services was using that port. Jerry
  6. Getting unhandled exception error message on startup of Data Provider. Upgraded to 1.6.7 and still get error. ************** Exception Text ************** System.Net.Sockets.SocketException (0x80004005): Only one usage of each socket address (protocol/network address/port) is normally permitted at System.Net.Sockets.Socket.DoBind(EndPoint endPointSnapshot, SocketAddress socketAddress) at System.Net.Sockets.Socket.Bind(EndPoint localEP) at System.Net.Sockets.TcpListener.Start(Int32 backlog) at er.b(IPEndPoint A_0) at h5.a(h6 A_0) at fe.e() at fe.a(Object A_0, EventArgs A_1) at System.Windows.Forms.Timer.OnTick(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Timer.TimerNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam) Data Provider installed on computer with FSX. Display Unit on 2nd computer. Thanks, Jerry
  7. Interesting. Did the same for me. The narrative calls for a climb out heading 355 to LSE then R-352 to DANBO. Jerry
  8. Mine show correctly for KFLL, 09L & R on left side of map facing East and 27R & L on right facing West. Are you talking about how they show on the airport map or did I misunderstand? Jerry
  9. In the Settings tab under "Online" do you have the paths set for VATSIM boundaries file and VATSIM definitions file? They are the top 2 selections on the "Online" page. My settings are: VATSIM boundaries file C:\Users\Jerry\AppData\Local\Aivlasoft\vatsim\fir.dat VATSIM definitions file C:\Users\Jerry\AppData\Local\Aivlasoft\vatsim\servinfo.dat Jerry
  10. I understand the cause of this message and know how to fix in the runways.txt file. I'm curious if a program exists or could be developed that searches for the errors after a cycle update. As it is now you find out about a mismatch when you key in the ICAO code in the route setup. I suppose the next question would be could Aivlasoft search and correct the errors itself? Just thinking out loud a bit. Jerry
  11. Interface to the simulators will be FSUIPC (no longer SimConnect) YEA!!!!!!!!
  12. I deleted the key file, uninstalled programs from both computers, deleted any remaining folders and reinstalled the Data Provider on the server and Display Unit on the client. I still get disconnects on the display and now the disconnects sometimes crashes the Data Provider. I increaed the timeout values to 10 in all 3 boxes on both computers. Any suggestions? Thanks, Jerry
  13. I was able to get the Display Unit on client to connect to Data Provider on server. I'm now experiencing continuous disconnects and Data Provider crashes. Open Display Unit on client, select departure airport and click on gather airport data, unit retreives departure airport data, select arrival airport and click on get airport data, Display Unit hangs and does not retreive airport data. Data Provider screen shows request for data on departure airport and arrival airport prior to crash. These errors are causing the program to be unuseable for me. Any ideas? Last crash on Data Provider indicated this error: 08:57:01 Error- Sender [sendAck], NetworkError: Unable to write data to the transport connection: An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine. 08:57:02 Warning- Connection to 192.168.0.9 terminated, caused by: StoppedUnconfirmed 08:57:04 Info - New connection from 192.168.0.9 accepted Thanks, Jerry
  14. I'm running the demo version of Aivlasoft on networked pc's. I had everything set up and working correctly when I started losing my hard drive on server pc. I replaced the hard drive and cloned the old drive. Since that time I've started having issues on the display unit. It connected once and all was good for first 20 minutes of flight. Then it disconnected and would not reestablish contact with server. Same thing on 2nd attempt. At one point I received a message stating it could not read airport (or airplane?) data from cache. Could this be a result of cloning the program from previous hard drive? Since I am ready to purchase should I uninstall the program and do a fresh install with a licensed product? Thanks, Jerry
