  1. That’s why I use LittleNavmap. It shows countries, cities, rivers, lakes etc. What you’re asking for isn’t really appropriate for what is essentially a navigation display.
  2. Don't worry. Your description matches my experience. Urs knows the problem and a fix should be available soon.
  3. For those of you flying Concorde you will know it’s essential to be subsonic around 65nm before landfall. This is because the sonic boom spreads outwards and forwards for a considerable distance. Locate the point on EFB’s map where your flight path crosses the coastline. Right-click and choose the option to create a range circle. Change the distance to 65. You still need to calculate the deceleration point to ensure you are subsonic 65nm from the coastline but now have a visible indication of that point. Where a subsonic leg is required aim for FL410, Mach 0.95 for optimum fuel burn until further descent is required.
  4. You need to press the Next button. Lower-right.
  5. Free one is enough although the paid one does have lots of useful features.
  6. I would imagine so Bob but I see Urs has posted with his news so you can probably leave your settings alone. For info I use a utility by Lorby called RemoveAISleepers (freeware). This will remove any Ai that have a departure time more than x minutes ahead of current time. x defaults to 90 mins but can be adjusted. I set my Ai to 80% and the utility then kills a couple hundred Ai that will just sit there for over 2 hours doing nothing. This substantially reduces the number of Ai (thereby helping fps) but also ensures you have parking gates available at your destination. I often found they were all taken at airports like LPPT.
  7. Bob, why not temporarily remove all the Ai values you have in FSUIPC and try again? Also make sure you're up to date with that utility given EFBv2 relies on it for Ai. If the problem disappears then gradually add each value back to FSUIPC until the problem reappears. That should give you a clue as to where the problem lies. I had a chat with Pete Dowson this morning and he is installing EFB today so is in an ideal position to respond to any questions related to this issue.
  8. 200m wide runways??? What on earth were they thinking of? Bad enough for freeware but for payware nothing short of a disgrace. ?
  9. Theo, I asked this question when beta testing. The answer was with Air Display from Avatron. You may want to check the reviews of that app and also consider the size of text of EFB v2 on such a display. I decided not to bother.
  10. That could still result in the next active being behind you if you’ve been particularly lax. ?
  11. I’ve experienced this on a relatively short flight - EGKK-LFPG. In my case I had missed the ToD point and carried on at cruise. Probably distracted by external events. In your case your active waypoint BOA is behind you. You just need to change the active to RONAB.
  12. @bob34, thanks for explaining why you need arrival info. I'm guessing many of your flights are only an hour or two since any longer ones could definitely have different arrival weather (and therefore different arrival runways) by the time you get there. I don't fly on-line but can understand the desire to see which ATC are on-line. I'm sure Urs will take this on board and consider if changes are needed. It certainly won't offend him. ?
  13. Client... Settings... Units. (from memory)
  14. Information is only useful when needed. I'll ask again. Why do you need to view arrival frequencies before you have departed?
  15. Jason, If you open Explorer and locate Network for the PC where you have AS16 installed what folders do you see that are shared? I have Users, [username], as16_p3d and Weather. The last one points directly to the folder containing current_wx_snapshot.txt. Give us more info and we can help although the AS16 help document should already describe how to share the relevant folders..
  16. @benjoglove, understood. It’s a personal thing I suppose. I use Radar Contact so relied on that for the frequencies. However, I’m not sure why you would need to know arrival frequencies even before you had taken off. Bit premature perhaps? Wouldn’t those become visible once you were airborne?
  17. Andy, I retired 5 years ago so plenty of time for flying when not watching football. Glad to hear you're enjoying retirement. Come back here if you need any further help. EFB v2 is brilliant.
  18. The data in P3D is real world but fixed at a certain date. Over time the position of the Earth’s magnetic pole moves slightly. Over time this change results in runway headings being incorrect. Let’s assume this heading was never changed in the 70 years since London Heathrow was constructed. The runway would be identified in the 50s probably as 11/29. By 1987 they had become 09/27. If those runway headings had not changed the runway ID would read 29R but your compass would be reading 273. Do you think that would be realistic and safe? Or would it confuse pilots? All runways around the world have to have their runway designator changed. If you want your sim to be frozen in time then fine. But you can’t fly any aircraft that rely on correct navigation data. So no PMDG aircraft. You’ll be fine flying VFR though. ?
  19. Hi Andy, Hope you’re keeping well. ? I start the server via FSUIPC. There doesn’t seem any point starting it before P3D is ready. And having it done by another process means one less thing has to be done manually. If you have the paid for version the manual has all the info on how to do this. You can either start the server immediately or when P3D is ready. i.e. at a gate. I choose the latter method.
  20. Ben, no, you don’t need to open a window to see the frequency and heading of your arrival runway. It occurs automatically when your aircraft enters the STAR. As an example, yesterday I flew from EGKK to LFPG and had previously selected the arrival runway as 08R. As soon as I entered the STAR the Approach plate appeared automatically at the bottom of the display. It shows all the required info including G/A info. Yes, it’s different to v1 but as good if not better. Certainly selecting the arrival runway is a LOT better than v1.
  21. Clive, I don't appreciate sarcasm and I have a good understanding of how P3D works thank you. The first sentence was definitely German. I've never heard of CL and CT before. Urs has answered your question.
  22. Sorry Oskar, I don’t speak German so can’t understand your first sentence. I don’t know what CL means. Difficult to answer that question. You might be better asking on the FlyTampa forum as this is not a specific problem with EFB.
  23. This post answers the question about 12/30 not being active... http://flytampa.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=11211
  24. Oskar, Its because FlyTampa have closed both ends of that runway for takeoff and landing. If you’re familiar with ADE by ScruffyDuck (freeware) it’s not difficult to edit the airport and change the runway properties. If you ask on the FlyTampa forum it’s possible someone has made an alternative available. EFB v2 is simply reading the status of scenery files (BGLs) and is doing everything correctly. It is in your interest to have a basic knowledge of how P3D works which includes BGL files. LATER: I’ve just remembered there is a program supplied with FlyTampa EKCH which may switch 12/30 back on. Check your readme.
