  1. Hi, I have MSFS, X-Plane and P3D installed. While flying P3D EFB 2 does not recognize I'm flying P3D and wants me to load MSFS in the database. Thanks, Doug
  2. I see it under Map but the button cannot be selected.
  3. Is there a way to select heading up while in flight? Thanks, Doug
  4. Sorry, posted too soon. Figured it out. It was minimizing for some reason. Maybe I hit the minimize button once and didn't realize it. Working fine now.
  5. Hi, With the latest version I'm having a problem where the radio dialog box flashes on then disappears each time I click the radio button. Everything else seems to be working perfectly. Thanks, Doug
  6. Is there a way in the future to distinguish Vatsim etc. traffic from AI generated traffic with a different color or symbol? Thank you, Doug Moved to proper forum by Admin
  7. I'm having the same problem. I don't seen any ai or vatsim traffic. p3dv4 traffic global vpilot went through steps above fsuipc set to unlimited global profile set to +5000, -5000 everything is on one computer everything is toggled on
  8. Hi, I made a couple of test flights without the VSD on the NGX and there is no problem with stutters while using EFB. However, with the VSD on, closing the data provider does stop the stutters. I miss the VSD but can live without it because I miss EFB more. Thanks for your help, Doug
  9. I almost always fly with the VSD displayed on the co-pilot side. I'll try with it turned off on the next couple of flights and let you know. Thanks, Doug
  10. Also, from reading other forums this seems like it's only a problem with the NGX which is what I'm using when I have the issue. That's the same forum where I got the idea to separate the cores but this didn't work for me. Thanks, Doug
  11. Urs, Thanks much for taking the time to test. I'm using Windows 10 if that makes any difference. There must be some other addon conflict etc. Closing the data provider is the only thing I can do to eliminate the problem. Thanks again for checking into it. Doug W10/64 i7 4820K 3.7GHz 2 GTX 980's
  12. The previously posted solution is not working. Killing the data provider solves poor fps and stutters. Sure hope this is fixed soon. Can't use EFB with P3D v3 until then. Thanks, Doug
  13. Found the problem. After researching further the problem was that the folder in scenery.cfg was listed with the /scenery. I left off the /scenery in the scenery.cfg and EFB read it fine. As Urs said in previous posts EFB will look for the scenery folder by default so it was looking for /scenery/scenery which didn't exist. It's working now. Thanks, Doug
  14. I'm having the same problem but a data provider update is not working. I fixed some runways in ade then placed the file at the top of scenery.cfg. The data provider is seeing the folder and reading it with no errors however the runways are still not recognized when I select the airport in the display unit. Any ideas? Thanks, Doug
  15. Hi, I just flew the KDEN flight again but this time I assigned P3D to cores 1-X and EFB to core 0. Flew great with no stutters. Give it a try. Use set affinity mask under task manager on the details tab. Right click set affinity. Good luck. Thanks, Doug
  16. Hi, Just flew into KDEN this afternoon and was getting strong stutters. I shut down the data provider and everything was immediately smooth as silk. I'm the OP and can confirm this has been happening since at least P3D v3.2. I'm using 3.3 with the hotfix now. I have FlightBeam KDEN and this problem is definitely more pronounced around bigger scenery. I also would prefer to keep my settings the way they are and not use EFB as much as it pains me. I'm no programmer but the simconnect bottleneck sounds right. Maybe limit the simconnect call frequency if that makes any sense? Looking forward to a fix. Thanks, Doug
  17. It seems clear that this is not a one-off phenomena. When I run NGX with EFB alone in P3D v2.5 hotfix the stutter problem is profound. It is difficult because I really like EFB and have used it for years but am making the commitment to move over to P3D and most other add-ons are working. I know Aivlasoft will get it fixed in due time. For now I guess I'll have to look at alternatives. Good luck, Doug
  18. I have run P3d and EFB only and the problem still occurs. Thanks, Doug
  19. When I have this problem I'm running: VPilot Active Sky Next PMDG NGX and that's it. I also have ORBX scenery installed. I've tried stopping ASN and VPilot but stopping EFB stops the problem. I did notice the two simconnects running and stopped one but that didn't solve the problem. Only stopping EFB stopped the stutters. Thanks, Doug
  20. Hi, I'm flying the P3D NGX in v.2.5 with latest hotfix. Incessant stutters begin about 30 minutes or so into the flight. After a great deal of experimentation, only one thing eliminated the problem. Shutting down EFB. After that, every flight is flawless. I'm using the latest version of EFB. Hard to live without this great software. Any ideas on a fix? Thanks, Doug
  21. I've searched but how to fix KORD in EFB eludes me. I've updated in fsx and it shows up there correctly. I've run the scenery updater in the Data Provider to no avail.
