Thanks, Urs, for the response. I freshly installed the client on the networked machine but still get this error message. Windows Defender is the only AV software running. I'll try excluding the installation folder from that scan and reinstalling. UPDATE: Halting Windows Defender during re installation has solved this issue...thanks again!

I have been successfully using EFB v2 since its release with the client running on a networked machine. However, today I'm unable to start the client (with full admin rights, of course)...the following error box appears instead: How can I restore client functionality? I can't even run the support files app on the client without an error message. Thank you for any suggestions. Wayne Klockner

My experience mirrors that of petrsurf's - I run FSINN when online, and EFB displays both online (VATSIM) traffic and AI traffic generated by MyTraffic 5.4a. This is the case regardless of EFB settings...in other words, I can only turn off the display of online traffic, NOT the AI traffic. My two options then are to discriminate between the two kinds of traffic as petrsurf describes (the AI traffic markers always have ??? in them) or turn off all AI traffic by using FSX's display settings slider for AI traffic in order to better see online traffic. It's strange.

I've been a EFB user now for a year or so and love it...thanks for the great work! I have been puzzled about Ai and online traffic lately. First, I no longer can see VATSIM traffic on the ground...I only see airborne online traffic. Am I overlooking a setting that affects this difference? Second, I recently installed MyTraffic 5.4, the latest version of this AI traffic add-on. When I'm offline, and FSInn isn't running, I see lots of AI traffic (in the air only). But when I'm connected to VATSIM via FSInn, I still see the AI traffic in addition to the online traffic, despite the Settings stating that the online client will not allow the AI traffic to display. What am I missing? I'd appreciate any suggestions, thanks.

This isn't true with Ultimate Traffic 2, which will to generate AI traffic even when connected to the VATSIM network via FSINN. Or did I misunderstand you?
