  1. Hi Jason, It's a bit difficult to read your screenshots. However what I'm seeing is that EFB Server is unable to read the ActiveSky Weather File "current_wx_snapshot.txt". Why this is the case is not possible to determine as I do not clearly see the way ActiveSky is installed. You might need to verify that ActiveSky can be accessed without restrictions. The starting order of EFB2/ActiveSky is of no issue. As long as EFB2 has full access to the mentioned weather file, it can be started any time.
  2. Thanks Ggerolamo, for your troubleshooting! I have set this option already for quite some time due to another issue I had with P3D on a multi-screen setup not related to EFB. So in fact I didn't get aware that this could also be the issue here. At least it explains why I haven't seen it anymore to-date. We will include this proposal into our FAQ section.
  3. Hi Andreas, Thanks for reporting. Glad that it works now!
  4. Hi Andreas, Yes, that's exactly why we ask you to provide the Support Files: https://forum.aivlasoft.com/topic/3046-how-to-create-a-support-file/ This will include all necessary information to see why the connection could not be established. There will be one Support file from the Server's and one from the Client's Computer. I have however a strong guess where this problem could stem from. I take it that you did not make a completely new installation of both EFB2 Server and Client Software. Therefore a discrepancy on the port number for TCP connection could exist as we had to change these for several reasons lately. Please check the port number for the Server under: Settings/System tab. It should read: 57892. This is the port number in use with the most recent version. If it is not that number, change it to that value and restart the Server. If you did updates on the Server (no new installation) and a new installation on the Client, it could be that there is a disrepancy between the port numbers. Unfortunately you cannot change the Port Number on the Client as long as it it not fully up and running. That's why we are asking for the Support Files to detect such differences.
  5. Hi Andreas, Please submit a set of Support Files: https://forum.aivlasoft.com/topic/3046-how-to-create-a-support-file/ So far we don't have any problems connecting the Client to the network. I take it that you have read the respective pages (Manual 5 Client, Chapter 5 First Start). What do you mean by "no connection anyway"? Is there a specific status displayed in the Status Window?
  6. Hi Jason, I take it that you are referring to these tabs: They will indeed show the current weather of the selected airport, if there is a met report available. Here is an example for KLAX Los Angeles. To properly show the wether engine's values, the path of the weather engine must be specified in the server settings (see manual 3 Server, chapter 4.1) and - of course - the weather engine must be running.
  7. Hi Frans, Inorder to correctly call up the proper profile, the correct name of the *.air file (without the extension .air) must be entered into the respective field (See manual 5 Client, Chapter 12.2 ff). The profiles supplied by default may not contain the necessary entry as those names are given by the manufacturers of the AddOn. Please observe also that the client needs to be restarted if a change was made in this particular field as the Client needs to rebuild the index.
  8. Have you installed he proper version of FSUIPC?
  9. AFAIK REX SkyForce is compatible with any other Weather Engine, but is NOT a Weather Engine itself. That's at least what the website says: "If you are currently using another weather engine or texture add-on, Sky Force 3D is already compatible!"
  10. Hi Frank, I have checked this installation on my system and indeed, DTNH is not recognized. Recompiling the AFCAD file "AFD_DTNH.bgl" shows a lot of errors, among them an erroneous COM frequency, which must be in the correct range for EFB as EFB2 now also deals with 8.33 kHz spacing and furthermore for any reason that we don't know there are double ILS's on both sides and among other things the navaids are also not properly positioned and named (all ILS's are named ILS27!!). So as a conclusion the original BGL supplied by FSDG is not compiled with the most recent "bglcomp" from the P3DV4 SDK. I have recompiled and corrected the BGL and attached below. Please do not OVERWRITE the old BGL but just set it to OFF and place the newly created BGL into the scenery path of your DTNH installation. Then rebuild the database and everything should be ok. AFD_DTNH.bgl
  11. Hi Alex, unfortunately not, as we are completely dependend on the ARINC data supplied bei either Navigraph or NavDataPro. As long as they choose to not provide these Circling Procedures, we cannot display them. It's not an EFB2 problem, it's a Data Provider problem. EFB2 would be ready to use and display circling apporaches.
  12. Hi Frank, Please be a bit more specific. Sim used? AddOn used? Just be advised that DTNH Enfidia is NOT contained in P3DV4 default database. I can only check on P3DV4, however my guess is that it is also missing in FSX.
  13. Hi Peter, Welcome back to the world of Simming 😀. To answer your question: yes, of course it does, as long as the connection is stable there is no reason why it shouldn't. One of my systems works purely on WiFi without problems.
  14. Just as an additional information: I have the same airport installed and it shows up absolutely normally. Ic checked the installation of this AddOn and the entry was properly made to the scenery.cfg, however not on top of all other entries but on a somewhat lower layer. Be sure that you didn't enter the AddOn twice by adding it manually to the scenery.cfg. What tool did you use to add it?
  15. Hi ??? (please sign your posts with your real name according to our forum rules) Please submit a set of Support Files https://forum.aivlasoft.com/topic/3046-how-to-create-a-support-file/ . This will allow us to determine the cause of the missing file. If it is properly added to the scenery.cfg, it should also show up in EFB2.
  16. Hi Gianluigi, You might just have had bad luck inasfar that RouteFinder still planned with the (by now) outdated "V" track from last night. At the time of your activated Flightplan this track was simply not available anymore. Track systems are very dynamic and restricted to their validity time gap.
  17. H Hi ??? (please sign your message with your real name according to our forum rules) Tracks are implemented. The present track-message contains only westbound tracks: https://pilotweb.nas.faa.gov/common/nat.html Eastbound are not active at this time of the day. They are typically available during night and early morning hours. If you want to cross the Atlantic eastbound you need to file a flightplan with common coordinate points outside the present westbound track system. As you might know the tracks are redesigned each day. So no track from a previous day can be used.
  18. Thank you Roger, for the kind words. We do our best to give all the necessary support.
  19. Hi Jim, You might need to review this DbDuilderLog. The airport in question is LFAQ Bray and within the databuilding process EFB2 recognized two instances of a RWY 09/27. This is however only a logging entry for our own purposes. As you might see it is neither flagged as "Warning" nor "Error". Therefore it is to be ignored. To be honest we were a bit hesitant to log all those entries as the users are not capable to interprete all these entries correctly. However in some cases it is helpful for us to trace DbBuilding errors (if there are any). But in this case - as mentioned before - it is not flagged as something abnormal and must therefore be ignored by the User. Just to remind you: those logfiles are for AivlaSoft's troubleshooting purpose in case anything abnormal shows up during the DbBuilder Process. It might be noteworthy that we are allowed to log anything we deem necessary. For us none of these entres is annoying. To be honest, it sounds a bit strange that you are criticising OUR log entries.
  20. I agree, and it's not easy for AivlaSoft Developers either...😀
  21. Hi Roger, This is (one more time) an old story and I abstain from some more comments regarding scenery designers. EFB2 can only draw what the designers supply in their layout (AFCAD) BGLs. In this (and various other) case ORBX has decided to not include a RWY in their layout which in turn makes it impossible for EFB2 to draw something that is not present. We have however foreseen this "designer specialities" (ORBX is not the only one in that respect) and have created the possibility to use EFB2-specific AFCAD files, (see also Manual 4, database, chapter 2.7) that will allow to draw the airport layout properly and therefore also allows for procedures to be assigned. Please check out this section https://forum.aivlasoft.com/topic/3005-afcad/ and download the necessary AFCAD file for ENHF and follow the procedure as per description. You will need to re-run the DbBuilder thereafter of course to include the updated ground layout for ENHF. By the number of AFCAD files available for download you can easily see the number of problems we are facing by being "at the end of the food chain", so to speak. We have to deal with all kind of anomalities that the designers chose to apply😕...
  22. Hi Rolf, Thank you for the update. Most important thing is that it works for you now. It must be said that - unfortunately - with FSX:SE we sometimes encounter problems that are not present on other basic FSX Installations. the reason for that is completely unknown for us and it is very difficult to trace such problems, as I personally do not have Steam on my Computer and I do not have any plans to change this as Steam has quite a "life of its own", so to speak. Thanks again!
  23. Hi Wayne, I'm sorry to hear this. To make sure our installers are working as designed I did the following on one of my Test Systems: - downloaded the original installers from our website (Build #112) - uninstalled both EFB2 Server and Client using regular uninstaller - checked for remaining files, no files found - rebooted computer - installed Server and Client as per instructions - rebuilt 2 databases, 1 for P3DV4 and 1 for X-Plane11 - started EFB2, P3Dv4 and ActiveSky Everything worked as normal. The whole process including database building and starting the Simlator took less than 20 min. I'm simply not able to understand what happens on your system. In any case the installes are working as designed and no flaw in the whole installing process could be detected.
  24. Hi Wayne, Well, this is very strange. It's about the same warning(s) that appear if your try to install when EFB2 is already running... I have never seen that and I also have never heard about such behaviour on a new system. Just to make sure I understood everything right: according to the first screenshots you seem to have installed the DbBuilder, but neither Server nor Client? Have you tried re-downloading the installers?
  25. Jerry, No need to be annoyed. You don't need to backup your profiles and minima folders. This is done automatically. You might have missed the fact that after each install/update a copy of the folders \profiles and \minima with the extension *.bak is made. Just copy the contents of the *.bak folder into your original folder and everything is as before. For the profiles folder you may also delete the new "profiles" folder and rename the "profles.bak" folder to "profiles". No harm done.
