Why is the DB builder downloading all the aircraft from MSFS2020. This wil llast and last and then it shutdown due to????? Frans van Zantbeek

Hello, Please help me. I got a new PC and now I are installing MSFS2020 from Steam. I also installed EFB2. Now comes the problem!!! When I am asked to find the installation folder from MSFS2020 I can not find it. Any one knows how to get the folder. I tried many folders in the steam folder and in my user folder but no luck. Hello. I use EFB2 for all my flights and mostly they are fine and correct. But when I load the 757 collection and the 788 collection it comes with the message that the profiles don not exist? Hello Oskar, You maybe know that it is Sinterklaus in The Neteherlands. He brings always suprises. This morning I started W10 and it did the new update. After that I started FSX-SE and finally it came up with the message that I have to aprove the use of SimpleCam. That was my suprise as the message did not more appear on the screen. So it is Solved I do not know why but it is working. So problem solved and again a Happy Customer. Thanks for your time Regards Frans van Zantbeek

Hello Oskar, The selection is FSX-SE The you have to add manually : C:\users\frans\appdata\roaming\microsoft\fsx\contro;s\standard.xml I have a W10 system. EFB is working very good but this will not even start. I have done all in the config file as mentioned in the manual. When I close the configurator I statred FSX-SE and have opend in the VC. Nothing happens even when I click again on the shortcut. When I then will look to the config it gives me the presented earlier message. Frans

Hello Oskar, I have all simconnects in FSX-se activated. I got his message: The object reference is not set on an instance of an object. When I totaly uninstalled the program and run the setup again it opens the configurator. There I select FSX-SE and set the desired pad to FSX-SE. Then I start my FSX and have a PMDG 777 in VC and then when I click on the program nothing happens even if I have the selection on :Start with FSX. When I then go to the configurator the above mentioned message come up. What can be he trick to have it running. Regards Frans

Hello. Bought Simplecam and installed. Installer tells all okay. When I click on the settings I confirm start with fsx. But nothing happens. When manually start also nothing happens. Have FSX-SE have found the file as mentioned in manual but nothing appears there for Simplecam Yes in my FSX config it is there but further no action. Any idea? Frans van Zantbeek

Hello Urs and GG-Flyer, I have downloaded and installed Microsoft NetFramework 4.0. I think and again I think that this solved maybe the problem? Why? Because this afternoon I made a flight online with REX for FSX and EFB and it was going well. I have the Displayunit on my laptop and that works fine. I have opened the Dataprovider on my FSX PC to see messages and the only messages I receive are from connection time and flightplan created. This was today at 15.37.44 Therafter I only received at: 15.59.07 Warning connection terminated caused by: TmeoutSND. Then at 15.59.28 Info connection accepted. And then 16.38.25 Info Somconnection data transfermode changed to "Inactive and the same minute changed to active. The same at 17.49.24. I have regular tested the Menubar to see if the Freezing would appear but till now nothing happend. I hope this is a solution as I have done nothing more then install netframe work 4. I will keep you posted as any problem will come back but in my previous experience this should already have taken place. Do you know that the file from SimConnect is 45GB big? I will ask you to share my PC so you could see the file if you want because sending the file stopped working my Outlook? Waiting your reply but I will be back by Tuesday or I will red it tonight till 2100 hours BR and have a nice weekend without me complaining Frans van Zantbeek

Hello my dear frien GG-Flyer, Are you unhappy then I am unhappy because as you mentioned I have a wonderfull PC and it makes flying with FSX a joyfull hobby special when you can do that online for at least 6 hours a day. I am pensioner so what let me having fun and as real as it gets. And yes EFB was working fine and exelent yesterday without any problem. Icould play with it like never before. No problem but that was only with FSX and EFB. That log from SimConnect is send to Urs. Today I will do a flight nwith FSX, EFB and Rex. I willkeep you informe and regarding your question: I have not installed any other sceneries and Airports to my FSX. Go for 4 days to Geneva and be back Tuesday for further comment Frans

Hello GG-Flyer, To come back to your questions: What are your FSX and EFB installation paths? (I have neither installed in my "Program Files" directory.) I have installed FSX on a different HD not to the Progarm Files this is mentioned already in so many forums Do you run EFB and FSX "as administrator"? (I have both shortcuts set to do so. I also run REX, RC, etc. "as admin.") I run all programs as Admin IIRC you have tried many different OSes in your search for the "best FSX platform" for your use. I assume that each time you changed your OS, you did so on a completely clean hard drive - that you did not "upgrade" your OS. I have installed all OS always on a clean drive never upgrade but always total new install PS I have also O&O defrag for good performance I hope you are happy with my answers. I run nothing else then OS and FSX on the PC No other programs installed only Adobe Reader no chat programs nothing. I will send later today my Simconnect file as promised. I am flying now online IVAO and only EFB is running. 1 hour already without any problem. From the moment EFB created the flightplan I only have 1 Simconnect Data transfer mode "Ínactive" and the same time this changed to "Áctive". BR Frans PS I still have 2 hours to go

Hello Urs, My replies to your questions and first off all I appreciate all your work to find out a solution: - What other add-ons are simultaneously installed and running on your computer at the moment when the exception is raised? The only add-onn that is running is REX for FSX - Does the exception also occur if EFB is the ONE AND ONLY add-on using SimConnect? I will try this tonight as only add-onn runing EFB and create a logfile and send that to you. So I will use FSX and a default FSX plane only EFB and fly online. Hello GG-Flyer, My answers to your request: Can you describe your FSX freezing more exactly? Does FSX stutter for a brief time and then the video freezes? Or does the video come to a stop all of a sudden? Does the video "black out" or "freeze?" Does the audio continue or does it stop? No it does not stutter. It comes to a stop and the audio continues. The screen becomes greyish so you can look through it like misty Since your freezes do not occur within an hour of starting, can we assume that you do not have the EFB option to sync your FSX clock to your PC clock checked? No I have disabled timesync as I use FS Real Time this waqs also because the datprovider always was giving the message that the time difference was 1 or 2 minutes and I thought that maybe that was also the problem Are these "real-world" hours or FSX-accellerated hours? Yes this are real world times and no accellerated hours I fly always Äs Real as it Gets Do you have access to a 2nd networked PC with which you can run a DisplayUnit to see if that also freezes your FSX? Yes I have done that and it also freezes after 1 hour, I will mention that I looked at that time for Airport DATA and then when I went back to my Flihtsim it freezes with this result: DefwndProc: HRESULT:OXCOOOO14B Feel free to ask any question so I can help you out to find a solution Frans van Zantbeek

Hello Apostolos, The freezing I had was for sure due to the dll mentioned. But with EFB I still have freezing when that application isrunning. I had freezing of the FSX when I launched all my add-ons like ASE, REX, FSC. This is totaly solved by the UIAutomationcore.dll topic. But the Freezing of the EFB is still there in my case mostly after 1 hour or two. I fly regular 3 to 4 hours flights and then it is a pitty to redo them without EFB who give me more info then any other add-onn. And because I am flying on-line I have to redo the leg and then it will take much longer when you have to restart. I hope some PC Guru wil find a solution for this EFB behaviour or maybe we have to think that due to lack of further information we are lost. My PC is throughly checked and is able to handle FSX with all sliders to max then I still have now 30 to 40 fps. It is only EFB what stops me from being happy as you understand and Ithink alot of other FS enthousiastic flyers will agree with me. So keep our fingers crossed and let us hope that someone will find a solution for us otherwise this is a waste of money. BR Frans

Hello Urs, Yes you are right in all your answers. That EFB stops has something to do with FSX configuration. Why? I have a Intel Core 2 quad q9300@2.50 GHZ Installed Memory is 8 GB Win 7 64 bits ATI Radeon HD 5700 1 GB card 2 HD 1 for Win7 and 1 terrabyte card for FSX. Programs running only FSX, ASE, Rex, FSM all dedicated for FSX. Planes installed and all flyable: ConcordeX, PMDG 747 and MD11, Embraer 170/190 Airbus series 1 and 2. No add-onn scenery All programs run without any problem only when I start EFB it hangup and freeze after 1 hour 2 hour never before the hour. I decided to run all programs one by one and never had a freeze my FPS are 30. It only happens when I activate EFB even only FSX without anything and sliders to minimal for testing and EFB it freezes. It freezes when I even go from my second screen to the maim screen. I am lost and read a lot of postings about it but if it never will work on my system can I get a refund or can you promise something else? Because it is worth more then that the money but it is worth nothing when it does not run. Waiting any reply and help if possible. Frans van Zantbeek

Hello Christan, Google for the uiautomationcore.dll and see how many topcs are spend on it for years. My FSX also freezed when I runned another program together with FSX. It was FSX what freezes and stopped the other programs from responding due to disconnection off that program that was locked to FSX for information. This Computer-Wizz from whom post I copied posted this in the last few days on a lot of Forums. Responses are also readable and go from happy to verry happy FSX users who experienced this problem for long. I was in the state of throwing away W7 and reinstall XP with FS9. I experienced no chrash of EFB and my FSX did not freeze till now. I had at least one freeze a day. I am pensioner and have a lot of time) And now two days without any problem all my sliders to Ulta-High. And yes you make a back-up from the files before deleting them and store them in a seperate folder as they both have another size. And when you are not happy place them back. Hello all user from EFB and having problm with FSX freezes. This solution did it for me and for a lot off other users. EFB gives a problem with Framework due to freezing of th FSX. Thisproblem is solved by someone. Read his post: THE BOTTOM LINE IS THAT THE UIAUTOMATIONCORE.DLL FILE CAUSES OTHER DLL FILES TO MALFUNCTION! Alright folks, I have the fix---after a whole year of fidgeting and spending $600 on every stinking version of windows out there-XP 32 bit. XP proffessional 64, vista HP32, vista HP 64, Win 7 32 & 64 RC, Win 7 32 enterprise and Win 7 64 bit professional (my primary FSX OS on which I did the succesful fix). As simple as it may sound this works. I tried replacing the Uiautomationcore.dll file and FSX would still crash albeit after a while. And if it wasn't that dll file then it would be some other file like ntdll. So I tried completely deleting the uiautomationcore.dll file from both the syswow64 and system 32 folders. Now I am playing FSX with graphics and traffic settings set to custom and turned all the way up while I have aircraft, scenery and weather settings turned to ultra high and no crashes for two days!!!! I can click in and out of any menu such as the MAP or virtual flight path or change aircraft mid-flight or change weather mid-flight with no crashing. I have tried every which way to get FSX to crash and I just cannot get it to! FSX really is awesome when it works. HERE IS THE FIX: You may have to take ownership of the files if windows stops you from deleting the file. Open CMD prompt and right click to run as administrator and then type in exactly as below substituting your windows login username where it says username: takeown /f C:\Windows\System32\uiautomationcore.dll cacls C:\Windows\System32\uiautomationcore.dll /G username:F takeown /f C:\Windows\Syswow64\uiautomationcore.dll cacls C:\Windows\Syswow64\uiautomationcore.dll /G username:F Now you can just navigate to your syswow64 and system32 folders in windows explorer and after backing up the UIautomationcore.dll files just delete them from your computer. (Remember to delete the Uiatomationcore.dll file in ure FSX folder also if you installed it as the fix in other posts.) If you have Nvidia cards download their latest driver also. Its got a huge performance increase. The only problem I have had by deleting the UIautomationcore.dll file is that if I exit FSX completely while in flight my windows desktop becomes dysfunctional and I have to restart. If I first end the flight and then exit FSX I have no problem. I have four different OS's on seperate partitions on my computer built specifically for FSX. There is no point in playing FSX on any 32 bit version of windows because you will get more out of FS 2004 than FSX on a 32 bit system. Now, since I have 12 gigs of RAM, dual 9800GT's, intel core i7 920 running at stock (cuz MSI MB's suck for OC), and three 22" monitors-- instead of getting 10 FPS (on my 32 bit windows 7)I get 25 FPS on my 64 bit Windows 7 with two virtual cockpit windows on two monitors and all of my instruments on the 3rd monitor. BTW 6 GB (if you have tri-channel) or 8GB Ram (if you have dual channel) with a 64 bit OS is plenty-I just found my DDR3 RAM for dirt cheap at Microcenter a year ago. 4 GB is not enough as you will get OOM errors with settings even turned up halfway. No need to buy fancy graphics cards either because FSX is CPU intensive and doesn't really do well on the newer graphics cards. The 9800GT's are dirt cheap at like $70. Also definitely upgrade to the core i7. Please get the word out to all of our fsx friends!!!
