Did this a couple of times when i was too lazy to turn on my 2nd monitor.

I also have problems with the import of FS9 flightplan-files. My VA (Leipzig Air) generates FS9-flightplans that work flawless with FSX and Active Sky Evo but not with EFB. As a workaround i copy all waypoints via copy&paste to the EFB and then everything is fine - no big deal. I've attached a flightplan generated by the VA-system. Maybe this helps. Btw: Now running EFB on my new MacBook Pro in Parallels-Virtual Machine via WLAN completely smooth. Fascinating feature! Now i'm able to plan my next flight from the couch in the living room! Hope simconnect-failures will not occur again (knock on wood). Keep up the good work! Cheers Ingo

Hello Urs, i got some good and bad news. 1st the good: no more CTDs in FSX, the bad: only without the EFB. After more than two dozen flights without the EFB on different planes and to destinations all over the world i can now confirm that my frequent CTDs are definitely connected to the EFB. I had 2-3 Crashes but those were related to add-on aircrafts (FMCs and stuff). I'm sure that the whole simcoonect thing is the cause for all that, but that was discussed on the other thread. So i'm really sad that i can't use your truly great software anymore without risking an appcrash. So i have to dig out my PDF-charts for online flights. What a pity. Bye Ingo

Hello Urs, i'm in a real struggle with my FSX. A few month ago I did a fresh install on a new Win7/64-system. My goal was to install every addon (and there are a lot of them) as clean as possible with the latest updates and patches step-by-step to prevent any problems. Even the Win7-UAC is deactivated and i'm on admin-level. First i was very confident that i have a very well configured system and Win7 works perfectly stable. But sadly after a while i have to realize that one of two flights (or even more) end with a sudden CTD. EFB is crashing too because of the interrupted Simconnect-connection. It may happen with any aircraft (Wilco A320, DA Fokker, Wilco 737 etc.) at any time at any place. Suddenly FSX freezes and crashes. The (now in german:) "Ereignisanzeige" only shows me an appcrash with no further details. I also used Filemon to get a clue what could be the problem, But this tool only confused me more. Yesterday i was on the way with the new FSL Concorde-X from EGLL-KJFK. Right at the US east coast FSX crashed again - oh dear! I reloaded the flight from a save (done a few minutes before the crash) and tried the approach at JFK again and again but 3 times FSX crashed with EFB. So i did my approach without EFB and it worked - hmmm. After that i did 2 flights (online) without EFB and experienced also no problems at all. So now i suspect very much that the EFB may cause my CTD-problems. Is that possible? I noticed that EFB (or .Net) takes a lot of RAM (around 400-500 MB) but that should be no problem with my installed 4GB (mostly 500-800 MB unused). I'm also running Active Sky Evolution and Ultimate Traffic 2. Those Addons also communicate via Simconnect with FSX. Maybe there is some kind of an overload on Simconnect. Is that possible? Well i'm kind of desperate because the EFB is an absoltely great piece of software and i won't miss it anymore. But right now it's just no joy to spend my time with FSX crashing at the TOD or - even worse - fully configured on the ILS. Do you have any idea to sort that problem out. I would like to help you out with any logfiles you may need. Best regards Ingo

I also support the idea of a separate "Send FP to FSX"-option because usually i want the flightplan to be activated and saved to harddisc but not to be loaded into memory because some FMCs don't like those Flightplans with SID and STAR already included when loaded from memory (i.e. F1 Mustang and some more). I prefer to choose SID and STAR manually in the respective FMS. Usually i load the needed flightplan from the website of my VA and load it manually in FSX then copy-paste it also to the EFB (because EFB gives me an error when i try to load the VA-Flightplan-File directly). But when i hit "Activate" in EFB it gets overwritten in memory by EFB. So it would be a great feature to choose as an option if i want the flightplan to be saved and loaded to FSX or only saved. Hi Urs, as i'm flying now for a VA i did some more flights the last days. During that i found a strange behaviour of the ILS Course display on the Approach Page. When i'm flying enroute and i switch to the Approach Page to set the ILS course on my radios. It says Frequency 109.90 and course is 60 - fine. When i am near at the airport during the approach phase the course says 59, which is correct. How can it change from one value to another? Greetings Ingo

Hello Urs, thank you for your quick answer. First: Yes, the runways disappear on every aiport when switching to Night-Mode. Taxiways, Apron etc. stay visible. Second: The problem with EDDP is solved. Because i have the Aerosoft German Aiports-EDDP-Addon the lines in the runways.txt were obsolete. I removed them and now everything is fine. If i had the FSX-standard scenery EDDP those lines would be right. Greetings Ingo

Hello Urs, i have two small problems with your absolutely great EFB. Maybe you got a hint how to solve them. First: when i switch from Day to Night-Mode the runways on the ground-map disappear. On the other phases of flight (i.e. Enroute) the displays are just fine. Maybe a graphics driver or a .NET problem? Second: i have no SID/STARs in EDDP (Leipzig - Aerosoft German Airports 2X). Unil now the only airport with this problem. Maybe the addon has not been correctly recognized by the data provider? And now my wish: is it possible to display degrees on the first circle of the range-display? This may improve navigation a lot. Thanks in advance. Thank you for your stunning tool! Bye Ingo
