Hello Urs, many thx that we have EFB now in the MSFS also! I'm still installing, but a first little, very tiny bug has cought my attention: During the installation there is a question for what sim it should be installed, and the abbreviation in EFB2 is currently "MFS" The official one from Microsoft is "MSFS" ... I do not want to be too picky, but in Germany we connect the abbreviation MFS with "Ministerium für Staatssicherheit" of the DDR, which will awake some very bad memories for some thx

Aaaahhhh .... searched this incredible forum a bit with its incredible support and found out, that sending the FPL to the GPS is inhibited in the aircraft profiles and has to be activated. 😁

Hello Oski, sorry for the late reply and thanks for your answer. I checked and there is no EFB_current_gps.pln created, despite what I do. I know that was the case formerly, but doesn't happen now. That is of course the reason that I do not have the plan in AS or the sim itselfs GPS... but why isn't it created any more? What infos do you need? WIn10 64bit PRO P3D v4.5 HF1

Maybe we talk about the same issue: I see since one of the last updates (maybe official 2.1) that EFB doesn't send its Flightplan to FS any more. You could check this, when you open the in-Sim Flightplanner and there is no FP loaded. I mean that it is automatically sent to the FS "GPS" once a FP is activated That was possible in earlier versions. And this is what the threadstarter is probably referring to. What was possible with manual "activate" in EFB1 is now automatically in EFB2. However it doesn't work since 2.1 (I think) This feature is in a way essential as Active Sky grabs this activated FP automatically to get more precise weather injections and weather reports. And on AS do rely many other addons, like PMDG etc. with its wind forecast. Even the "resend GPS route" does not work (or is it meant to do sth else?)

Not quiet correct. 1809 was officially released and online for about 24 hours. In this time I got it via Win10 update (I'm not in the insider program) After the first reports of lost data, they skipped it immediately. I have had fortunately not lost data.

I have the flickering since 1809 also, but I also installed NVIDIA driver 411.70 So, I do not know if it is 1809 or the new driver For sure I can say that it hasn't anything to do with EFB, because I have that flickering with or without EFB and also when other things are as active window. Also Win10 start menu produces a screen flickering.

Just be careful! There are two current_wx_snapshot. Also one in the main ASA folder! I have encountered during Beta that ASE probably creates two different WX-Snapshots. But that was as I had my upgraded version from ASA. Now I have a "native ASE version. You can simply find out, which one is the correct by looking on its creation date. If you start ASE and the current_wx_snapshot is from right now, than thats the right one. With the "native" ASE version both current_wx_snapshot have always the same time..

Hi Louis, have a look into the IVAO IVAP Forum: there are several reports of crashes....mainly on short final. (but no real solution unfortunately) I'm affected, too. And theres no logic behind: I have crashes with system deep addons and with no system deep addons, at high traffic and low traffic. And I have several days absolutely no crash. My conclusion is, thats 100% a IVAP fault...

I have overseen this, sorry which scenery is that? what I wanted to point out is, that we have several errors and reasons why FSX could crash. EFB just shows the error very obviously with the DataProvider. ASE is also showing this error, but only in the logfiles, so I think, most users do not notice it. So I'm very sure, the error is simconnect related and has nothing to do with EFB - beside the fact, that EFB needs simconnect to work...

I have had these "0xC000014B", too You can have a look into the topic in the FSUIPC support forum: http://forums.simflight.com/viewtopic.php?f=54&t=80256 I have had the error using the "FSUIPC VRInsight Mod" where you can assign VrInsight Modules directly with FSUIPC. Pete solved this issue fortunately, so if you use VRInsight modules and this mod, please update FSUIPC to the latest version 4.616 http://forums.simflight.com/viewtopic.php?f=54&t=74352 (You should do this anyway) Beside this I don't have any issues with EFB now. It sometimes happens, that FSX is not closing thouroughly, so the FSX process have to be forced to end via the Task Manager. In this case I get a HRESLT error, too, but thats no wonder and no fault of EFB. ActiveSky shows in its log the same error (HRESULT etc) as EFB, but you see the errors more obvisously in EFBs DataProvider, ASE is simply not updating the weather and gives no error message. You have to restart ASE. I have made a long, frustating journey to till I get sorted out, that the FSUIPC VRInsight mod is causing this error (reinstalling FSX, updating SimConnect and in the end reinstalling the complete OS) So, the first question is, if you guys use the FSUIPC VRInsight mod? A complete other failure is the crash in short final with IVAP. IVAP has some bugs and I have had this short final crashes, too. But for my opinion they have nothing to do with EFB, ASE etc, just simply with IVAP. Look into IVAO forum for some "solutions"... for crashes when switching between FSX and EFB or other programs (ALT tabbing) you should put the uiautomationcore.dll into FSX folder. look at AVSIM thread: http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?s=&showtopic=249211&view=findpost&p=1599877 And, last but not least: for crashes, when activating the route: Some Addons don't like the route updating, e.g. the F1 Cessna Mustang. If you have entered a SID or STAR into Mustangs G1000 and make a route update via EFB you get a instant crash of the Sim. I have not tested all my addons with this, but maybe some high end addons have some problems with it? Simply deactivate the automatic route activating in EFB options. (It would be a nice feature that we could choose in EFBs interface if datas should be sended to FSX or not; choosing it via EFB options is not as handy, Urs ) But i doubt, that Carenado planes would be affected.... result: there a re several problems wich can force FSX to crash and as a result "crashes" EFB, too. "Crash" is not the right word, but you get the HRESULT error. Hope I have helped for some further investigations.... Guenter EDIT: As I don't have any HRESULT problems any more, I would like to say, that no point of this list will solve the problem. If this HRESULT is not caused by FSUIPC VRInsight mod, it must be one other program. Programs which are running on my system (WIN7 64 Prof) without problems simultaneously : ASE, FSC, EFB, Mozilla Thunderbird and Firefox. (and all other programs, too e.g. photoshop, Indesign etc...) I have searched very long with this HRESULT issue and can say in my case(!) for sure, that points a) to e) does not have any effect... Maybe IVAP is making some problems....

When you show the DataProvider, is there a yellow marked message with sth like that? HRESULT: 0xC000014B Numbers can differ... If you using VRInsight mod in FSUIPC then follow this post in the FSUIPC forum: http://forums.simflight.com/viewtopic.php?f=54&t=80256 If you don't know what VRInsight is or FSUIPC or the FSUIPC-VRInsight-Mod, than you don't have to look inside this thread I have experienced, that FS is sometimes not closing proper, but I have not figuered out why... If this happens, the DataProvider gives this message and is disconnected from SimConnect, means FS. You have to close and restart just the DataProvider. (Maybe Urs can us give a "restart DP" Button some in the DU and DP; would save us some Mouseclicks ) Try to make a screenshot of your messages and post it here.
