  1. I ran some tests with the API by randomly selecting airports from the SkyVector maps where a CTAF frequency is displayed. I have no idea why, but most of these airports seem not to be accessible through the API. In most of all requests I get the message 'airport could not be found'. Only a few requests have returned useful data. Interestingly the successful requests were always at the big airports like KJFK, KSEA, KLAX etc.

  2. The current software architecture and internal data structure does not allow it. Changing this would require to rewrite major parts of EFBv2 which is very unlikely.

I personally don't see a real benefit of saving a SID, STAR, or APCH with a flight plan, because from my experience in most cases when using a saved flight plan again at all, either the situation (mainly winds) has changed and I have to select another SID, STAR, APCH, or even waypoints (fixes) have changed or are no longer available. In other words, it takes more time to check and update an existing flight plan than creating a new one according to the current situation and its requirements. Just my opinion.

  3. Thank you very much for your kind words, but MSFS has it already built-in. It just requires some configuration work.

Here are some screenshots of the keyboard settings for the Cockpit Camera on my sim computer. There are 3 different areas to address:

    1) moving/positioning the camera

    2) saving the camera position

    3) loading/activating the saved position

    1) Moving/positioning the cockpit camera left, right, forward, backward is done with the translate commands. The German name 'Nach-Rechts' means the arrow key to the right, then following below, arrow key to the left, up, and down.

Then use Page-Up and Page-Down to move the camera up and down:

Combining the arrow keys with the CTRL key (in German STRG) allows you to rotate the camera:

With the 10 assignments above, the cockpit camera can be moved at any place in the cockpit.

    2) Saving the position of the cockpit camera. On my system the following key combinations have been assigned (STRG means CTRL, ZEHNERTASTATUR means the numeric keypad on the right of your keyboard).

    3) Finally, loading a preset camera is done by pressing the keys on the numeric keypad as follows:

    IMPORTANT:

Whenever you assign a key to a certain function, make sure this key is not yet assigned to any other function because this would lead to unforeseeable troubles. I remember when I have started to assign 'my' keys, there were a lot of preconfigured keys already which I first had to unassign.

    Hope this helps.

  4. I guess it would require to send appropriate information to the FMC which usually is a 'closed system' and does not provide any interface for third-party-tools. All FMC's which I have used provide a HOLD page where you can enter such information manually and the aircraft will follow these instructions.

  5. Hi Marc

From what I have read so far about these CTAFs there is not much chance to have them displayed on the ATC ribbon.

The ATC ribbon displays frequencies from active controller's which data is downloaded at intervals of 30 seconds but CTAF seems more to be static data.

I have also not yet read about a single source (e.g. a text file with a key-value list) which would provide all the frequencies per airport.

  6. As Stephen already laid out, EFB cannot run if the data folder is located on a drive which is synchronized with  a cloud service (e.g. OneDrive).

Please uninstall Client and Server and then reinstall them using the latest installers from the download page https://www.aivlasoft.com/download.html.

When reinstall please take care where you select the data folder to be located. Don't use C:\Users\dsbut\OneDrive\Documents

For any further issues please create a support-file from the Client and the Server and upload them here. Since this is a Client-Server application, we need information from both to get the overall picture. Thanks.

and could let me know what should be in the profile as the "show as" line.

Please have a look at the manual "5 EN Client.pdf", Section 12.2 "Profiles Editor"

  8. Hi Bill

did you already check on the Server's side (using the traffic monitor) whether the desired information is listed there? If so, maybe you have to alter the respective configuration by assigning another column number. For details please see the Client manual, 7.1.5. Traffic, starting at page 70.
