After reading all this information and the threads in the VATSIM forum, I decided to change it in EFB to properly display the 25 kHz frequencies.

    Hi Urs,

    one interesting fact to add...

The FlyByWire A320N for MSFS does not allow to set .x20 or .x70 via the user interface (dial knobs in the cockpit). It jumps from .x15 to .x25.

But you can set them via a programmatic interface like SIMCONNECT.

I tested this with the EFB and could see that the plane accepts the .x20 and .x70 in this case.

As you will fix this in EFB this is might then be not an issue for EFB any longer. I will also raise a ticket in the FlyByWire github for this.

    Thanks

    Frank

Hello, up until a few days ago the current Vatsim ATIS would display on my ATC ribbon, but it has now stopped.

I've tried every option I can find and searched the manual but I cant find how to turn this useful feature back on, if anyone could explain what I've missed please.

Same here - something changed so that ATIS is not showing any more.

Exactly the issue I tried to explain. While center is actually using the correct/raw frequency, vPilot puts a 5 there when the 25 kHz channel spacing requires it. But this is just a vPilot thing. And it seems vPilot also requires you to use the adapted frequency to connect it back to the original channel, which is technically without the 5. I thought vPilot would also accept the actual/correct frequency (ending with the 0), but maybe this is not the case for the MFS client. I'll check with my setup for P3D and let you know.

I also raised this in the vPilot forum:

Frequencies which are given with 2 digits but actually need 3 (eg. .220/.225) not working - vPilot - VATSIM Community

  4. I had the same issue today at EDDB:

    image.png.f11eb6b9f57cf464973a53452bc1aca9.png

    vPilot required:

    image.png.000c4ce9b22c8b844b56d37eb4c78d4b.png

I had to manually change in the plane to hear the controller:

    image.png.6a5091f4b970d4b99f6db18e0200dc17.png

I use MSFS2020 and the plane was the Working Title CJ4. Haven't tested other planes yet.

EDIT: Have tested the FlyByWire A320n now - same issue.

Also I noticed that ATIS is sometimes not displayed in EFB2 as you can see above.

EDIT: ATIS also has a third digit which makes me believe this has nothing to do with the sim or plane if EFB2 also has issue displaying ATIS at all with a freq of 123.775

    Thanks

  5. Hi Oskar,

I was afraid that something like this would be the cause. Copy protection by encryption is understandable but unfortunate in this case. That mean that EFB cannot map any airport which are bought through the store, right?

I have found that the airports I have in the Community folder are in fact in the airportFiles_MSFS.txt:

    EGKK D:\Games\MSFS2020\official\onestore\fs-base\scenery\0501\APX47130.bgl (#0) Base

As long as the default airports have most stands this is not to bad. But for airports like EDDS where there isn't a default at all it means there are no stands or taxiways in EFB.

At least now I know the issue - cost me hours today. Thanks for all your effort! I love your software and will keep using it anyway :)

No, not the \texture folder. Aren't there other files in the mentioned path? E.g. mine looks like this:

    EDDM_02.png.c6b0b2ee0e7e1defe315e7a8563bd685.png

In case there are no other files, could you trawl through the whole EDDM package to find those files - specifically the EDDMAirport.bgl?

    Nope - otherwise empty.

    These seem important :)

I also looked into other folders: EDDS - same also empty.  EDDH as well ... several others are empty.

    image.png.1442efeb72efb0701ef5a4644c1deb2f.png

The airports I have in my community (ORBX ESGG, gatwick) have *.BGL files.

  7. In your dbBuilder  logfile I see:

    2021-03-17 17:26:43.658   Debug   : d:\games\msfs2020\community\aerosoft-airport-eddm-munich\cgl   !! Skipped !! (Exclude definition)

    2021-03-17 17:26:43.668   Debug   : d:\games\msfs2020\community\aerosoft-airport-eddm-munich\scenery\simwings\eddm\texture   !! Skipped !! (Exclude definition)

    2021-03-17 17:26:43.680   Debug   : d:\games\msfs2020\community\aerosoft-airport-eddm-munich\simobjects\misc\eddm_simobjects\texture   !! Skipped !! (Exclude definition)

=> so it sees the files in any case.

But as you said in airportFiles_MSFS.txt I can only find this:

    EDDM D:\Games\MSFS2020\official\onestore\fs-base\scenery\0601\APX51140.bgl (#0) Base
         D:\Games\MSFS2020\official\onestore\fs-base-nav\scenery\0601\NAX51140.bgl (#max) Base

Hmm ... why do you have Aerosoft's EDDM installed in the \official\onestore path? I thought you are talking about SimWings EDDM? In my installation this one is installed into the \community path as "simwings-eddm"

I have stated that in my first post :) - it is the payware airport for EDDM. It is installed by the sim itself when bought ingame.

I have the feeling that airports installed in "Official" are not read by your dbBuilder.

In my latest test I have removed everything from the Community folder (really everything - it's empty) and deleted the Content.xml.

When starting up MSFS it rebuilds the Content.xml like the attached file.

I have then rebuild the EFB db from scratch (new db). Logfiles attached.

Same result - MSFS shows all stands and has the EDDS airport.

EFB does not have all stands for EDDM and does not even see EDDS (EDDS is not in the original MSFS data - comes with add-on (payed or free) or with Navigraph)

    Will try that.

This is exhausting - starting MSFS, building db, shutting down, make change, starting MSFS.... ;)

I de-installed navigraph data from MSFS for now - the issue is there even without it.

What does this mean in the dbBuilder log?

Why is it skipped and excluded? Should this be like this?

Also - my AddOn airports are not in the Community folder but in the Official folder as the are but in the sim. Would that make a difference?

EFB is not even finding the files:

    Strange.

I will try another content.xml order now....

  10. Hi Aivlasoft Team,

I'm aware this issue can be very specific to my environment. Any hints to solve or better troubleshoot are much appreciated.

If you need any more files or logs, please let me know.

    Thanks

    Frank

    ISSUE:

EFB2 does no show all stands at airports any more.

Best example is my EDDS Add-On Airport. See screenshots: MSFS layout, Little Navmp layout, EFB layout:

    image.thumb.png.4b62606fe79007c67238c9545f9a18a3.png

    MSFS 2020

    image.thumb.png.cfece57f9eb20dab261e63c988091ff6.png

Update - Little Navmap also misses the stands after a scenery update :(

I included the Little Navmap screenshot as it also reads airport data from the sim as far as I know. Might help in troubleshotting.

Update 2: Seems only stands included in navdata are included but not stands from Add-Ons. Removed my EDDS Add-On while keeping Navigraph data and it only showed the runway in MSFS and no stands. This is the same as EFB shows. Installing the Add-On again and MSFS shows all stands again (after a restart).

Edit: Screenshot from 3rd party apps deleted by Admin for legal reasons

    Troubleshooting attempts:

I have update Navigraph data for EFB and also for the Sim.

I have rebuild the database from scratch - logfiles attached.

    Server log also attached.

Haven't found the issue at default airports - but only checked a few.

Same issue for EDDM - some stands but fewer than the sim.

Same issue for EDDH - some stands but fewer than the sim.

  11. Some planes have two ADF receivers and therefore frequencies - e.g. A320neo.

AivlaSoft EFB2 Radio Panel has only one frequency.

Therefore this feature request for a second frequency.

    Thanks

Hi, its Frank, :) sorry for that.

As I'm not sure how it should look like when the correct profile has been loaded (just installed this the first time). I will investigate further...

    Thanks

    Hi Frank,

Check in the status bar, whether the proper profile is indicated:

    STAT_BAR.png.5911853b6691af50cf951356ea896ab8.png

This name must be equal to the name "show as" in the profile:

    A320N.png.e4eabdab58e170a7dc7be6b85631a33f.png

According to your previous screenshots it looks as if you created your own profile. Make sure that your did not use the same mandatory fields as already present in another profile. Those must be unique to each separate profile. It might well be that there is a mismatch with another existing profile.

Got it working. Deleted my own profile and restarted the client...

    Thanks Frank

Yes, of course there is something wrong. In your screenshot there is no information available as to which profile is REALLY loaded. Check the status bar. The only explanation so far is that in your flight the wrong profile has loaded.
